I'm not the JFK fan I once was. It tool a little education to get past the wall plates of him one used to find hanging in almost every middle class home. But, that's a topic not in need of discussion. This, on the other hand, is a timely disgrace.

As a Pittsburgh native with more than a passing familiarity with Murtha, I may not always agree with his political views, but I do not doubt for a second his dedication to the military and his country. Do not impugn the character of a man who follows his conscience. War atrocoties are nothing new, unfortunately. There are some who also attacked the character of those who tried to expose My Lai as well.
