Michelle and Allah report that Ayaan Hirsi Ali is coming to America to stay. Michelle has a translated article on that issue. A reader here translated this Op Ed which alleges a set up, suggesting a liberal media and Dhimmitude were working to do Ayaan in.
Obviously, I can't vouch for the translation but check it out:
Ayaan Hirsi Ali had planned on ending her political career in Holland by September of 2007. Those plans have been scrapped, understandably, because of recent events in Holland. Ayaan Hirsi Ali understands the degree to which Muslims assert control among liberal parties in the country she fled to. These left-wing parties are under considerable pressure by the imams, who previously convinced the members of their faith to vote for them. Now it's time to pay for that loyalty, and the Dutch left-wing broadcasting company VARA is happy to oblige.
When will the Dutch awaken? First Pim Fortuyn, then Theo van Gogh, and now Ayaan. Has the country completely committed to Dhimmitude?
In my opinion, their loss is our gain. Following is my rough translation of a blog article by Leon de Winter of Elsevier magazine. Reading it may give a better understanding of the left's warped reality.
"Ayaan's brother regrets having cooperated with far-left Dutch broadcasting company 'VARA' in the production of a 'story' on their TV show 'Zembia', after they approached him in with the idea of producing a documentary on a celebrity. To me, the story was nothing short of 'journalistic terror'. The makers let us believe that they were revealing shocking new facts: when Ayaan appeared at the Dutch border in 1992, she lied about her name and the country she came from. This is news?
Google Hirsi Megan: an April 3rd, 2005 article in the NY Times reports her real name, and that she falsified her birth-date upon arrival in Holland. In an article by The Guardian she professes the same.
She has repeatedly corrected the lies she told to enter Holland to the media. Literally every so-called 'shocking revelation by VARA has already been addressed by Hirsi Ali, before her election to parliament.
How odd that the VARA story doesn't mention that. No quotes from the NY Times article, no older Dutch news clips in which she openly told that she lied when she said she had come directly from Somalie instead of Kenya. Those factual tidbits didn't suit the VARA agenda. Mentioning those facts would not 'help' their story on a woman they wanted to portray as a con-artist with skeletons in the closet. Those facts would have turned their news story into a documentary about a woman escaping an arranged marriage.
Other details of the 'news piece': the VARA crew gives the impression that Somalia is a pleasant place visit and live, in spite of the civil war that rages there. Revenge, honor, shame, and pride, are the rule for these people. The report attempts to disprove that she actually had escaped the arranged marriage she was involved in, suggesting that her possible presence at the wedding itself indicated a certain degree of cooperation in it, since her mother, brother, and sister weren't there out of protest. That the arranged wedding was her father's doing is apparently not news-worthy. The suggestion that there are no honor-killings in Somalia, and that violence against female family members is a taboo in Somalia could have been dispelled by any expert on Somalia who would have told them that Somali men consider female family members pretty much 'property'. The report doesn't mention the circumcision forced on Ayaan.
The VARA also exposed that Ayaan claimed that she lived in Somalia her entire youth: read the pieces on Ayaan at the NY Times and The Guardian. They both mention she left for Kenya at age 7 with her parents. The VARA maliciously attempts to turn known facts into secrets, which it can then expose!
The VARA deceives the viewer in this show devoted to the character assassination of Hirsi Ali. They manipulate facts, deceive their audience, and entice people into hating one of the bravest persons in Holland. The scum!
An interesting side note: the TV crew that spent time in Somalia to produce their report panicked when they had to miss their scheduled flight out. They were convinced someone was out to get them, and locked themselves in their hotel room, and begged the Dutch presence in Nairobi to help them with their evacuation. Such heroes."

I'm very sorry to see her go, but then, I never doubted that Holland would turn out to be too small for her. Treat her well, and by all means protect her well.

The people opposing this lady are merely exposing themselves for what they are!!
I hope she fares well in the US, and that she always stays safe.

The fact is she lied during the asylum procedure. All people doing this will be refused entry. Why make an exception for Ayaan?
Anyway, I won't be sorry to see her go. She is good at bringing up problems, but never offers solutions. Perhaps she will do better in the States...who knows!
I did see a funny cartoon in a newspaper today that made me laugh. It said that Ayaan might now become an American citizen as lying in the States doesn't seem to be a problem. Liars can even become President in the US!

interesting Dan, in one hand how you think about (illegal) immigration in your postings and then you apply completely other set of rules to AHA? very inconsistent.

very inconsistent
BS. The item above is reported as posted elsewhere. I pointed that very thing out days ago in an opinion post. If you want to criticize, at least become informed.
