Several news outlets are misreporting this story. They are suggesting ANS wants half his fortune which is valued at 1.6 billion. That is not the case, what she is asking for is what is entitled by law in most states that I know of. 50% of the increase in value of the estate during the period of marriage. I Believe that is where the 44.6 million figure comes from. During the year or so they were married the dudes estate increased in value by 90 million, she gets half. I don't understand why this has been in litigation for 10 years not to mention the jerk son would still have over 1.5 Billion.

He was at a strip club, and he picked her up. He chose to marry her. He didn't have a prenup. He was of sound mind.

I don't get why Anna Nicole Smith is getting all the hell as a "golddigger" when it's very clear that an 85+ year old man was visiting strip bars and took one home with him.

I also don't think it's TOO unfair that she be entitled to all the rights of a married person, after all HE MARRIED HER and SHE MARRIED HIM. It's not like only half the couple said the vows. All the rights of a married person include a law that allows one half the asset increase during the marriage upon dissolution of the marriage.

It's funny.. people bitch about "The sanctity of marriage" and all that when the facts are an 87 year old man was going to strip clubs looking for some ass to bring home, and he not only brought one home, but he married it.
