I don't know what it is about John Kerry that's triggering Right side bloggers, but they do seem to be interested. I'm just imagining a Democrat field in early 08 - Hillary, Gore, Kerry, talk about a target rich environment for Righties.
Anyway, Bruce Kesler has some interesting info given his relationship to events:
In fact, and well investigated and documented, including by a televised interview with Dick Cavett – a supporter of Kerry -- in 2004, it was I who independently founded and led the Vietnam Veterans for a Just Peace in 1971, it was I who challenged Kerry to debate at our press conference on June 1, 1971, O’Neill was released from active duty in the Navy only a few days before and asked me if he could join us, Cavett says he had no contact from Nixon's administration, and it wasn’t until well after we received national publicity for challenging Kerry’s band of real and fraudulent Vietnam vets that Nixon invited O’Neill to meet.
And Bob insists the maps don't match Kerry's story.
According to the NY Times, Jon Kerry is trying to fight the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth again. While I cannot comment on certain operational details, I can state one thing with a fair degree if certainty: you can't take a swift boat from Ha Tien into Cambodia, because the Giang Thanh river runs near the Cambodian border, but at no point does it ever cross.
And yes, I found a nice map at another Swifite's site verifying that.
Geography doesn't lie. Kerry?...
Any surfing I have done has been doing some deep background on Haditha. There's a lot out there and the place was a virtual hell hole of resistance. Raids just the previous month turned up all sorts of weapons and explosives, which wouldn't excuse any atrocity. But al Qaeda was extremely active in the town and was using terror and threats to all but govern it under a strict adherence to sharia law. There are also several pictures of the townspeople embracing US forces, as well as voting in the months immediately after whatever went down went down.
It's important that we not allow the potentially abhorrent actions of some few tarnish the positive actions of the many. I'm hoping the military is doing some expectations management ans it won't be quite as bad as reports suggest. We'll see.

...Hillary, Gore, Kerry, talk about a target rich environment for Righties.
How about those of us who are simply tired of candidates with no ethics? I am far from a "Righty," but the sanctimonious and condescending attitudes of these 3 make me want to puke. The truly frightening aspect of this is that they each have the ability to speak to an electorate that is either so scared or issue-focused that it is not paying attention to the big picture.

Well said, Stella. I'd only add in that they're speaking to an electorate that is blind with Bush hate, as well. That's some sound reasoning, hunh? Let hate determine your vote! Idiots...
I go nuts with people who cannot see the big picture.
