Van Cromvoirt Released And Natalee Was In Love

And no positive end to the investigation insight, or so it appears.

What all this does suggest is that authorities may be giving up making a case against Joran Van der Sloot and the Kalpoes and are simply exhausting every minor lead before possibly closing things down.

And in another revelation about the case, ABC News reports that van Cromvoirt's arrest came after police were tipped off by a cabdriver, who said that while driving Holloway and her friends one night she heard Holloway talking about being in love with a "Dutch boy."

Police interviewed Holloway's friends in Alabama, who confirmed the cabdriver's account and offered a physical description of the man Holloway said she loved.

This also tells you a little about Fox's alleged reporting on this case. They had more access than anyone, including access to the Mountain Brook students. But we never learned facts like the above from them. Why?

Because when you agree to abide by the dictates of your sources, you aren't reporting, you're simply telling a story someone wants people to believe. So much for journalism. Why I even bother to expect it from these evening cable outlets is beyond me.

Isn't it amazing that a cab driver suddenly appears with Julia Renfro's story? And he doesn't want his identy known. But what is worse is if there is no cab driver that actually heard that and they arrested GVC only because the cab driver made that statement they have caused a horrible injustice to GVC.

I think they couldn't hold him because they couldn't place him at the beach where Joran said he left Natalee and the reason they can't is because it is not true. She wasn't there and Joran never left her there.

GVC's lawyer was just on the Abrams report, saying GVC never met Natalee. Looks like Beth was telling the truth and Tacopina and Renfro are liars.

And even assuming it's true that Natalee said she was "in love" with someone, so what? Doesn't mean she was serious. It's quite common for teenage girls to lightheartedly say they are "in love" with cute guys they've just met.

Van Cromvoirt is a hottie. I think Natalee's use of the word "love" was normal for a teen, like "love at first sight." It's sad that we saw many of the Fox shows pander to the strong spin, hype, and sensationalism that occurred in this case, but, MSNBC was not any better. Natalee's family did an incredible job in appealing to the media, and their crusade was remarkable. I wish it yielded a more fruitful end result, but, it may have done the opposite. I think it was due to their charisma that most of these shows featured their theories, to the exclusion of anything that may have balanced viewer's concepts of the case. Things are changing now that Tacopina has taken an active role. He's done a miraculous job in rehabilitating his client, and in compelling Fox, and the other networks, to be more fair and balanced.

Im just watching "The Lineup" that I TiVoed last night. I find it interesting, and a little "telling" when they showed some old clips of Joran. For example, there was one when it looks like he was at an airport maybe and was getting off of an elevator with his dad. The reporters swarmed him as soon as the doors opened and he stopped right in front of them and talked. His dad did not pull him away as to say "No, dont talk to them...you can hang yourself". They both stood calmly and talked. Doesnt seem like the acts of a murderer to me. Usually the guilty parties are the ones running by reporters with towels over their heads! Just my opinion....

Perhaps the reason ABC mis-reports information is they are receiving their disinformation and propaganda from the same place that Dan receives his. Van Cromvoirt's attorney has now appeared on Abrams and says his client NEVER met Natalee Holloway so it's unlikely that NH reported to her family, friends, or some spying cab driver that she had fallen in love with a total stranger.

Sounds like just the oposite to me -- they are ruling out the minor characters and re-focusing on J2K. GVC was released -- apparently not guilty like you all wanted. ALE continues to say J2K are the primary suspects.

Why is so hard for some of the Twitty-Birds to accept that Natalee had met someone in
Aruba that she had fallen for?? Thats as much of a fact as we have in this case. Her alluded to it early on in the investigation. The cabbie, who unlike some other unsavories in this case, does not seek glory or fame, and to me this adds credibility. Then US authorities reconfirm this with the Mountain Brook kids. You only have Beth saying No. And by her own admission, she didnt talk to Natalee the whole time. So how could she know? But I believe NH and BT did talk that week and that will eventually come out. We know there are phone records to prove the calls were made.
