There is something about double negatives, that the simple minded find baffling, and the rest of us amusing!

I remember once, driving by a prestigious trailer park in the vicinity of Mountain Brook , Alabama, and seeing a pick-up truck in front of me with a bumper sticker that read: “ If you ain’t country, you ain’t shit.”

At the next red light I pulled up right next to it, rolled my window down, and asked the driver: “Excuse me, about your bumper sticker back there, do you realize that what you are saying is ‘That if you is country, you is shit’??? Think about it!”

The light turned green and I rapidly sped away as I left Beth Twitty in her pick-up at the intersection, sitting there, trying to figure it out!.

In like manner, the upcoming “A day without illegal Mexicans Protests” (this is mostly about our Aztec neighbors to our south who wish to infest us like roaches across our borders with impunity, not about the insignificant number of illegal aliens of other nationalities amongst us!), and the accompanying boycott on that day in Mexico of all American products, “A day without Gringos,” falls in the same category of a double negative statement, as that of the bumper sticker to which I referred to above, that amply demonstrates the average intelligence of certain prestigious Alabamans....not to mention the dangers of inbreeding!

Though a “A day without illegal Mexicans” will be catastrophic to the Hollywood crowd (imagine, a day without “servants”!), particularly to their waistline, due to the ensuing shortage of lettuces on our produce shelves, and might result in higher grass on lawns all throughout the nation, I would like to ask our feathered , Nahuatl speaking friends to the south, if we expound on the notion of the Mexican boycott across the board, and as an answer to their “A day without illegal Mexicans” we respond in kind with a “A day without Gringos” what may I ask, to their surprise will they find??? Just imagine a day when, as if by magic, all the hated “Gringos” will be gone from America, and only Mexicans and other illegal aliens left behind.... the Mexicans invading us now would look around, standing by the dog-meat taco stands that would replace all Mc Donalds all across America, and realize: “Oh my God! After all the trouble of sneaking across the desert...there’s nothing but illiterate, filthy, Mexicans here.... it’s just like Mexico!!!”

Had Hernan Cortez foreseen the consequences of his having had the “cojones” to defeat 200,000 Aztecs with his cocky 200 Spaniards to become ruler of Mexico, and seen what a sore has Mexico become today to his Heritage, he would have fled in horror back to his Caravelles, and sailed back to Cuba in all haste....so help me God!!!

In the words of the Spaniards of that day, who remarked how the “Majestic” temples of the Aztecs “... smelled worse than all the slaughter-houses of Seville in the summer” due to their “noble” human sacrifices, which smeared blood has given that lovely “pinkish” hue, to the otherwise pure white limestone of the “Stelae” in our Museums, and other of their monuments:

I do not believe it to be a mere "coincidence," nor that they waved, along with their Mexican flags, Cuban flags with the "stenciled" image of "Che", something, by the way, that is highly offensive to the Cuban-American community here in the US, and has totally alieneated them against these illegal Mexicans!

If the "Che" symbolizes their aspirations, why are they infesting us like roaches here, instead of emigrating "en masse" to Castro's Cuba...."Che's Communist Paradise"!!!!!!!!!

Althor, I sho do likes the way you write.....and that you're right. A day without illegals just may show us how many have joined us. Perhaps it will also show that they are not really needed. The impact on the Mexican economy should the Gringoes pull out would be crippling in the least. Here is an idea. Suppose you and I along with our neighbors begin our own boycott by insisting that our homes be built/repaired by ABMs (anybody but Mexicans) and that the rest of our purchases and services be dlivered likewise. It is afterall us, the people, who are ultimately responsible for NAFTA/GATT and illegal immigration. It isn't really big business, Walmart and GW taht are at fault. It is those among us who prefer the $7.00 Chinese slave labor T-shirt to the American made one at $14.00. So tomorrow let's all boycott Walmart and Mexican resturants.

Be a bit nicer to Che. His utopia may have been better than Fidel's.

My dear friend, I agree with you 100% except for your "apologetics" about "El Che Guevara."

I do not know what romantic notions were fed into your mind about this man, but having experienced it, this man was a murderer no different than "Al Zarqawi," and he was mostly known in Cuba for taking people, "Gusanos" or opponents to the Castro regime, and "fusilating" them by a firing squad! His most memorable quote on Cuban television, is that "men should smell of urine and rum"!!!

Well, thanks to the links kindly provided by DADvocate, I'm down to the letter "M" down the list of names of all of our valiant Senatores of the "Fabulous 109th" sending E-Mails to all of them protesting this "Amnesty by any other name" legislation they all are so eagerly contemplating shoving down our throats along with 12 million "illegal Mexicans"!

Here is what I wrote:

Senator So & so,

Though I am not one of your constituents, I feel strongly that I should voice my opinion to you, since you are playing a pivotal role in this “Immigration Debate” Amnesty fiasco which will ultimately be made into law, and shoved down our collective throats by you and your colleagues!

Being the son of legal immigrants, I am a strong supporter of legal immigration, but allowing these 12 million mostly “Mexican” illegal aliens, who have broken our laws by being here, to remain in our Country through some form of "Pathway to Citizenship” or whatever other name you may wish to give "Amnesty", is abhorrent!

The demographic invasion by these illegal Mexicans, is taking away our jobs, our housing, artificially keeping our wages low, raising our car insurance premiums, taxing our Hospital Emergency Rooms, schools, and other Public Services, and screwing it up for immigrants from other nations who would also like to partake of the “American Dream”!

Personally, I have been passed over for employment when seeking work, because the position was given to an illegal Mexican who did not even speak English! He took away from me a job I was more than willing to do, contrary to the cop-out you hear from Washington politicians telling us that these illegal Mexicans come to do jobs Americans will not take!!!

Furthermore, rent prices have skyrocketed, for those of us not fortunate enough to own a home, because of the demand created by these illegal aliens, twenty of whom will share a one bedroom apartment and expenses, while my wife and I are expected to compete and pay as much rent, with meager wages, and only the two of us footing the bills!!!

It is totally unfair!!!

We should first and foremost secure our borders, deport all these illegal aliens, and have them wait in line and be duly processed like everyone else! To do anything else under the alleged guises of "humanitarian" concerns and other “bleeding heart” excuses is just a SELL-OUT !!!

But then, that is what all of you in Washington do best...

In another reminder of the roots supporting the Illegal alien movement, Captain Ed suggests that the unabashed Stalinsts at ANSWER create a huge problem for the immigration-reform activists:

The impression given by ANSWER's inclusion is that the issue has become a Trojan horse for eliminating national sovereignty and the promotion of communism, much as their anti-war protests became. The last thing that the more reputable immigration groups need is another march on national TV with thousands of Che Guevara T-shirts in the fore.

As for the walkout, his suggestion that as should the walkout get as big as ANSWER would like it to, they should be prepared for a backlash in Congress. Indeed, this is "one demonstration that has a large capacity for unintended consquences".

However, although probably not practical, a commenter at Captain's Quarters has the right idea - perhaps, WE legal Americans should exercise our own influence. "For example, all those companies and businesses that gave their "immigrant" workers the day off...Cargill, Tyson Chicken, inter alia...what are they saying? Are they hiring ILLEGAL aliens to such an extent they have to shut down to pander to their employees? Is there a compiled list of companies who told their employees to take the day off?"

On the other hand, an even better idea is to ask the Bush administration why these companies aren't targets for Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff's nationwide immigration enforcement strategy that is supposedly going to aggressively target employers who "knowingly and recklessly" hire illegal aliens, and those who help them find jobs. Unless he's all talk and no action, let see some action.

To them any "white man" is symbolic of "oppression" and of their "Spanish Overlords" of two hundred years past, though they have been an independent nation far longer than many other prosperous "European" nations have been a country!!!
