I have to admit, I'm a bit puzzled by this one. I'm linking it because the story of the Vets is truly a wonderful story.
Maybe I'm missing something, but Fran O'Brien's is losing its lease within the Hilton Hotel. Unless there is a compelling reason to think it is because of the veterans dinners, it looks like a business decision to me.
And if it's that, I don't want to get into the business of dictating to businesses what they can and can't do, despite my own sense of patriotism. I'm sure there are other locations which would welcome the event
Still, it's a great story. Maybe there's more to it than what I've seen.


Not sure how many upscale steak houses in DC would be willing to do this. Remember, the recuperating wounded servicemen and their families are TREATED to the Friday night meals. This is not done for publicity as there is no advertising surrounding this kindness.
