Evidently Ben Fawley thinks the tragic murder of Taylor Behl is some kind of a joke.
While Ben Fawley awaits trial on charges of killing Taylor Behl, lawyers learn he’s written nearly 50 letters to a female friend expressing his thoughts while in jail. His lawyers are a little worried about how he signed them: “Killerly yours, Ben.”

You gotta frakin' be kidding

Thanks Ben. This is exactly what we've been waiting for...
Good job buddy..

He is such a jackass. Did he do it because he figures his "goose" is already cooked or is he that much of an ass? Either way, he's sick. Sarcasim-- if that's what it is, should not be condoned by his lawyer(s). What a dumb (begins with an "f"). Hope he's loving life in jail.

'Style' (Richmond's alternative for news, arts, culture and opinion). Alternative? Alternative to what? Credible news? From all appearances, 'Style' looks like a glossy, online gossip magazine that is riddled with tongue-in-cheek humour.
With news headlines like 'Happy Birthday,Dork, and articles that fail to reference many of their subjects by name, I'd question the validity of any information I read in it.
...At least for the time being.

I can never believe this was an accident.People show remorse when they have done wrong not this sick MF.I have to wonder if he used Hildy as a pawn in his sick twisted mind.He needs to be behind bars for the rest of his life.I know I am being judgemental but it is men like him that get out only to destroy another family again.Oh.....Peace,I am going to contact our local goverment and see if they can point us in the right direction as how to go about getting a law in place the requirements etc.I will do that Friday as I have to work today.I am thinking more along the lines of you have a man who has a prior prison record, prior assault charges in which he only recived restitution and I am sure there is more.Personally I don't care if this was Joe Friday we need tougher laws to protect these young ladies.

Vedder! Hello, dear friend!

Diane -- Something like "Taylor's Law" would come from the General Assembly. You may want to contact the local delegate in Vienna where Taylor lived to introduced legislation. Unfortunately, the General Assembly won't be back in session until January 2006.
The local delegate in Vienna is Steve Shannon. Here is his contact info.

He was involved early on when Taylor was missing and was at her funeral.

Okay, I posted this elsewhere but want to say it hear too. Please remember:
BF is evil, a con artist, and I fully believe that he thinks out every move he makes and the words he utters...
He is a predator and as such he wants us to believe he is harmless and dim witted. Instead, I feel he is deliberate just like all child molestors and sexual predators. T the Behl/Pelasara Family:
I'm so sorry for the pain he has caused your entire circle of friends and family and the many in the wider community that the loss of Taylor has touched. We have to find a way to keep this bastard in jail...he is a threat to the entire community. There is no such thing as "Poor Ben"...he is not and never has been the victim...he is a sociopath, at best, and a psycopath at worst.

Rick, I've noticed that too! Hell, if we're not careful, people might start assuming that we're one and the same person! ;)

A redneck and a kiwi, sounds like two boat drinks, yes?
Posted by: Rick | Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 04:38 PM
I had to google that expression as I've never heard it used before, this is what I found:
"They tend to taste almost, but not quite, booze-less and they tend to pack a hidden wallop."
Yep.
Two bootdrinks for sure. :)
Posted by: error404 | Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 05:49 PM
error - you've not heard of boat drinks? Do you know who Jimmy Buffett is? How about Parrothead?
"Boat drinks. Waitress, I need two more boat drinks.
Then I'm headin south 'fore my dream shrinks.
I gotta where it's warm."
Ahhh, sorry for the change in subject, but it's a nice warm day and Rick just reminded me that I have tickets in August to JB...
Posted by: IslandHney | Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 07:28 PM
Another parrothead who wants to go back to the island, where the shrimp boats tie up to the pines. Give me oysters and beer, for dinner every day of the year and I'll feel fine. Hney, I go back to "Before the salt" how 'bout you?
Posted by: Rick | Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 07:41 PM
Rick - about the same timeframe - I remember my first Buffett concert was senior year when they came to my college. We had just come back from Spring Break in Fort Lauderdale so we were tanned and still in the beach mode when they arrived!
Posted by: IslandHney | Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 09:06 PM
Jimmy Buffet? Parrothead? I live in prehistoric, little ole NZ here and have no idea what the heck you two are on about! My guess is that it has something to do with country music, boozing, boating, and bonking - but only because I know a redneck friend who comes from Texas. ;)
...Yep, totally off topic, but then again, there's not much happening ON topic to talk about anyway.
Posted by: error404 | Thursday, April 13, 2006 at 10:44 PM
No Peace, another song to add to my repetoir of 'unheard ofs', but then again, we're still trying to find a way to transfer lyrics carved into cave walls onto scrolls in this part of the world.;) Here's hoping that you manage to get a period of time off duty soon, so that you can enjoy that margarita.
Posted by: error404 | Friday, April 14, 2006 at 04:03 AM
Peace,Please do as it sounds like from the other posts that he would be the one.I will hold off on contacting anyone until you talk to Steven.

My fellow parrotheads and error we're going to get in so much trouble if we continue this discussion very long. Error, All I know about NZ is what I see on " Xena; Warrior Princess". I used to think it was prolly just tv and you all were a bit more modern. Then the Lord of the Rings movies came out and....well. Course, I love all the leather wear. ;-) Seriously, Jimmy B. has been making music for ages. Yes, it started with country but just before the "outlaw" period started and his was too Caribean sounding for Nashville. SO he developed that sound....and a following. The songs are like stories, sailing adventures and people he meets. The dude wrote a song about a street sweeper "It's my job". They are lyrical, mostly funny songs and LAUDDY there's a bunch of drinking going on!
Now I am certain that you can find a music store somewhere on that big old island, or send away to Sydney and find a "best of" type CD. The stuff isn't for everyone, but I suspect you will be totally hooked.

So let's keep chatting!
Kidding.

I am proud to say Jimmy Buffet is from my hometown(Mobile,Alabama)and graduated from my college.(USM).
What all this has to do with TB is beyond me.
Posted by: nova | Friday, April 14, 2006 at 09:59 AM
OK, I'll bring this back around to Taylor since I took it off course. I became a Parrothead in college as did many of my classmates. The sad thing is Taylor won't ever experience the fun of a JB concert, or any concert, or any college experiences or any life experiences thanks to Fawley.

This story is FALSE. Unbelieveable sham paper. http://boards.courttv.com/showthread.php?s=e4f14349f80b07a0639f59f07ccbc9e1&threadid=261369
Dan, did you know this before posting?
Posted by: justobserving | Friday, April 14, 2006 at 01:50 PM
A classic example of why people should never believe everything that they read in print.
I thought Dan WAS 'hinting' that the article was a load of crock when he hyperlinked the words 'some kind of a joke'.
Posted by: error404 | Friday, April 14, 2006 at 04:14 PM
I would not put anything past bf as he thinks he did not do wrong. I don't think Style Weekly is a local "crap" mag that we look at while waiting in line at the grocery, but I could be wrong. Either way bf still did it.
Posted by: abigail | Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 12:02 AM
Peace, you said that well!! I still don't think Style should have put that second sentence in.I find no "joke" in it.
Posted by: Diane | Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 01:50 PM
Looks like a return to more civil discourse over here. I've believed from the beginning that the "article" was bogus. If bf was that psychotic it would have shown before now.
Posted by: Rick | Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 03:48 PM
Thanks Peace, Yah it struck me as too odd, even for ben. He's nuts, not stupid and he knows this does NOT look good, even IF his lawyers can plant the seed of doubt.
All; It is good every know and then to go off on a tangent, such as our musical discussion. It's a long road to August and it will be quite hard to rehash what we already know for that long.

I was thinking this morning that everyone has a favorite holiday. I wonder what Taylor's favorite holiday was? Did she dye Easter eggs? Did she hide them? Did she like Easter baskets?
Posted by: Peace | Sunday, April 16, 2006 at 10:36 AM
Diane - I'm not sure what happened to my post about contacting Steve Shannon, so I'm not sure if you got to read it or not. I will send an email to him. I'd said that he and his wife were instrumental in getting the Amber Alert here in Fairfax so that I thought he'd be helpful in answering questions about a Taylor Law.
Posted by: Peace | Sunday, April 16, 2006 at 11:17 AM
Peace, yes I did have a chance to read that post.Strange that it's not here anymore.I will not do anything until you talk to him and see what he thinks and where we need to start. Thanks again Peace!! Happy Easter to all of you!

I'm sure Taylor loved Easter and coloring eggs! What kid does not? Thought about her as we dyed ours yesterday. Wow! The Easter Bunny came! Isabel was so excited! Went to deliver an Easter Lily to my mothers grave today and saw a young teens grave who died a couple of months ago in a car accident. It was Belsies PE teachers step neice. Buried a few feet from mom. Isabel asked about the stuffed animals and I had to tell her what happened. Tears again over a young life taken....Uhhggg. Hard to say "Happy Easter" to the kids that are gone...Love you girls as our daughters will be your age soon enough and hopefully we will be able to teach them to be more careful although we can't "keep" our girls forever, as we have to let go...God bless you Angels....

Posted by: Peace | Monday, April 17, 2006 at 04:21 PM
Hi gang, rememeber me????? :)
Looks like it's the same old same old with the development of this case....
a line from my favorite JB song (saw him in NC a few years back)
"Yes I am a pirate, two hundred years too late
The cannons don't thunder, there's nothin' to plunder
I'm an over-forty victim of fate
Arriving too late, arriving too late "

AM - do you shag?
Posted by: IslandHney | Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 06:30 PM
Diane - I heard back from Steve Shannon and this is what he had to say:
"The idea of honoring the memory of a child through legislation is often done. There are many sensitivities involved. First, this has to be something the family should want. Second, there should be a relation between the legislation and the child. In other words, determine how legislation may have changed the course of events. Third, it's most important that the criminal trial proceed without any distraction. If a state law were enacted, the bill couldn't be introduced until next December anyway, so there's plenty of time for planning something."
I've emailed Janet to ask what her thoughts are and for suggestions/ideas/thoughts. I'll go from there.
Posted by: Peace | Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at 11:21 PM
This is a very nice idea and if it could help even one child from being murdered then I would be all for it. Once the trial is over, this would be a great cause to focus on.
I will be seeing Steve next week and I hope to mention this to him.
Thanks so much!
Janet

Peace,Thanks for talking to Steven.I did send an email to Janet as I personally think this should be her doing after reading what Steven had to say.I did let her know we would be willing to help once the trial is over.
Posted by: Diane | Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 07:36 AM
Thanks, Diane - in the mean time we'll have time to think about it. Perhaps things from the trial will help.
Posted by: Peace | Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 10:02 AM
Hey guys! What a great legacy this would be to Taylor and her loved ones, let me know--all of us here know what we can do to help.
God bless Taylor and all of the children murdered in this country every year. It's out of control and personally I'm tired of the "meds" thing as an excuse.
Posted by: abigail | Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 09:52 PM
Abby:)Thanks! I am sure Janet will let us all know what we can do once the trial is over. With the gag order in place it is hard to figure out what direction to go.I would love to see some kind of law passed to save another life. Not to change the subject but I was reading the posts from Kevin Underwood and here is another nut that killed a 10 year old child it makes me sick!! I found it interesting this guy was rejected from a girl and was very depressed.I don't know what feeds the motivation these kind of wackos have but they need to be stopped. The "med" thing is just what it is an excuse.
Posted by: Diane | Friday, April 21, 2006 at 08:16 AM
This "killerly yours" was printed in the section of 'Style' that is a satirical spin on current events. True? No. In poor taste? Definitley.
