I think this may be breaking as I just heard it over the TV but can't find anything on line. US forces in Iraq are claiming to have killed an al-Qaida leader, not Zarqawi, but a local leader also referred to as an "amir"? Near Sammarah perhaps?
It was reported that US forces followed him to a safe house and also captured another al-Qaida member, possibly also a local leader of some kind. I don't believe this was a replayed report. Sorry I didnt catch the actual names.
Great! Once we get Zarqawi (and you know we will soon) this war will be over and the libs will be eating crow.
