It is definitely not my intention to downplay the tragedy of Natalee's disappearance but I do have a hard time figuring out how come this is still 'headline news' for so many.
Another thing I wonder about is the hateful attitude of some Americans towards Aruba.
Most of them you will find on Blogs like SM and some others.
Luckily I talk to many American tourists who do feel ashamed of certain comments of their fellow countrymen on these blogs.
What is funny though is the fact that many of those commenters don't let them self be hampered by their total lack of knowledge and information about Aruba.
And then you have that old German attitude by some of them: Bei uns ist alles besser.
In this case America is better in everything....
Is this funny or is it sad??

It should not be hard to figure why Natalee is still a No.1 interest, it is because there are so many twists and turns and possibilities (except for the ones who KNOW Joran & Co did it, whatever 'it' was), and they just want it to be proved he/they did it!!

Don't you sense the mystery in all this, and don't you want this mystery to be solved and to know what happened to Natalee? For so many of us this has now become sort of personal!!

Even if she is never found, we will never forget Natalee!

I am still hoping she will be found alive and well. Perhaps I should change my name to Pandora!

I wonder how long it will remain this way if the case is closed in Aruba? I wish this case would be solved. I think it's making alot of people crazy. People that maybe could be friendly towards one another in diffrent circumstances are ripping each other to shreds. very scary

I'm mostly a reader and I can sometimes go a day or two without reading but I find myself always coming back to see what is new. I agree, we will always remember Natalee and this case. It is like my Mom still remembers the Lynberg case but she never got to correspond with many people about it she only got to read the newspapers and magazines. She says she will never forget it and she is 81.

This case obviously is still news. I know the Globalists hate this because "we dont want to hurt the innocent Arubans".

I posted many times that the Aruban govt is directly involved in Natalee's disappearance. More and more this is confirmed. Just in the recent weeks we have learned Dompig's druggie bro-in-law was his "source" that Natalee was on drugs....and that the Kalpoes are Dompig's cousins.

Dompig now is removed. It probably got too much for Steve Cohen and Julia Renfro to spin.

Dave Holloway's book hits stores today. It will keep the story active. Also we have the civil suit vs the Sloots (which will be heard in court....both sides' attorneys know that)

I went to the bookstore today and prepaid and ordered Dave's book.

In relation to Dan's post... I agree news is mixed in with entertainment and gossip. It's the same in Canada also.

My heart breaks when I even read some of Dave's book on the 'net. I so agree that the Aruba LE has been playing some game with them because they don't have a clue what they are doing plus I do beleive that there was a cover up at the beginning. And that is what they are now covering up.

I didn't like some of the tactics used by Beth, but given waht they were uo against, I might have behaved worse.

A lot of blogs are like that now. And I thought I had seen it all here. I just happened to google something on the NH case and, I mostly stay here on this blog, but it hit on another blog so I checked it out. Wish I had kept moving. It appears to me if someone disagrees with certain posters on some of these blogs, they receive replies with FU's, STFU's and although highly creative, very vulgar and/or intimidating emoticons or graphics. I have even seen them accuse others of being affiliated with other blogs and being paid to break them down? I wanna know how a disagreement on a particular topic is going to "bring down" an entire blog? Sure, it can cause discontent with all the back and forth bickering and be disruptive, but bring it down? Nah. The cult-like paranoia some posters display these days is quite strange.

There are those that concentrate on the authorities but there are also lots of them who are just insulting and bashing the whole of Aruba.
I have no quarrel whatsoever with anyone bashing the Aruban LE.

Is this the newest spin?

J Renfro states on Greta V that there is a security tape of the HI lobby time-stamped at around 3am showing a girl resembling Natalee (same clothes, bulld, etc). Where has this tape been?? She claims Dave & Beth saw this tape very early in the investigation.

Is this news to everyone? This is the first I have heard of such a video.

Not sure why anyone's surprised that this case is still news. It hasn't been solved, and each month we learn more curious details, in particular CTVrefugees spectacular work in nailing those screengrabs of FBI reports on Greta's desk. So Natalee had to be "escorted" to her room by some guy the previous night? How intriguing. Especially when considered in the light of her still unexplained cellphone call on the night she vanished.

Thanks Fab, I did view it. Later, SM is going to have a transcript in English. I was surprised and then not surprised that they did not show the car going to the VDS house.

Aslo, Dave was on Larry King live and he says that he gave the tag number of the vehicle of the " jogger " or whatever he was to the ALE.

wasn't this the story of the woman and her husband who left before nat got to aruba though...and when she saw the case on t.v. she associated it with her own experience? i read an article on that today somewhere..it was a blog though...if that's not what you are talking about, i apologize. i'll try to find that link if i can

A poster asked has Julia no heart? Probably not. Probably lacking a little in the integrity department as well. I am not a fan of the ALE, but they can’t be that dense. If they thought for a single second that the young woman in the video was Natalee, they would have had the tape enhanced either in Holland or in the US. They either had it enhanced andt it was determined not to be Natalee, or Julia is a liar and the woman bore no resemblance to Natalee.

If you listen closely to Julia, she mentioned that the tape was after Joran left Natalee at the beach. She didn’t say after Joran allegedly left Natalee at the beach, or after Joran said he left Natalee at the beach. No, she accepts Joran's word as gospel that he left her at the beach. That tells me all I need to know about her. She is either biased or incompetent, or maybe both.

Thursday DIARIO interviewed an American Docter who comes to Aruba frequently, who approached our newspaper, to tell something that happened, that may be related to the Natalee Holloway case.

He explained that he married a young girl of 19 years old, after they got engaged to each other in Aruba. After they?re divorce, the girl was very down and the docter decided to buy her a ticket for her, her parents and together with a [male] friend of the family, to go to Aruba.

The friends of the family was a person who would buy drugs now and then and he bought this from a dark-skinned man in front of the Holiday Inn.

He didn?t pay the man the whole sum and when the man asked him for the rest of the money, he pointed at the girl without her knowing and said that the girl was going to pay him the money.

The girl was staying in the same part of the hotel, where Natalee Holloway would have stayed, a few days later. He was staying in a room that was just infront of the room where eventually Natalee Holloway would stay.

To get to her room, she must pass behind the hotel next to the pool.

On one evening she was going to her room, when a dark-skinned man grabbed her and asked her for the drug money.

She said that she didn?t know anything about drugs, where the man said that if she didn?t arrange the money, something bad would happen.

Another evening, the same thing happened again, but this time the dark skinned man was accompanied by a white young man. Once more the dark skinned man threatened the young girl, that something bad would happen, if she didn?t come with the money.

The young girl begged the friend of the family to arrange the issue and he went to talk to the drug dealer and promised the next morning that he would pay the money the next morning.

However, the friend of the family took an early flight the next day and went back to the States.

The young girl was also very scared and left Aruba, a few days before she was scheduled to fly back.

Although the girl and the docter are divorced, they spent time together and one evening they saw the news of the disappearance of Natalee Holloway.

The young girl became very emotional when she saw the two security guards because she recognized one of them. She became scared and showed the docter which one she recognized, because that was the dark skinned man who sold drugs to the friend of the family and threatened her behind the Holiday Inn.

In July the couple came to Aruba and they inmediately went to the police to give a declaration about this.

The docter explained DIARIO that he finds it strange that this has never come out in the media.

He also said that he told Jug Twitt the story and he at this turn told Beth Twitty.

Together with the police they went to the site, so that the girl can show exactly what happened. The docter explained that in spite of the fact that he came with this information, the mother keeps on insisting that Joran is the guily one in what happened to her daughter.

According to the docter, the girl, who is his ex wife, has long blonde hair and resembles Natalee.

He said that his ex wife is convinced that what happened was that Natalee was going to he rroom, taking the same night that she took every night, where the dark skinned man would have thought it was the other girl and fulfilled the threat that he made.

The dokter said that besides the fact that he gave the police in Aruba this information, he also gave this to the FBI, because he thinks it can be very important in solving this case.

was told there were kids from Mountain Brook sitting in the lobby all hours of the night and that one of them would have seen Natalee if she had come in. Dito for by the pool area; the kids stayed up all night since it was their last night in Aruba. Surely one of them would have seen her if she returned to the hotel. I just don't buy the theory that she was captured on the hotel video. Wouldn't one of the desk attendants have taken notice; I would think that they're trained to be aware of who is coming and going in the lobby and be attentive to guest's arrival and departures. Also, the comuterized card key room entrance system...her other roomates would verify if they returned to room and at what time, and the times could be checked for any unaccounted for entrances.
