Author and ex-wife of Senator Kerry, Julia Thorne has passed away.
BOSTON --Julia Thorne, an author and the former wife of U.S. Sen. John Kerry, has died of cancer at a friend's home in Concord. She was 61.
Thorne, who died Thursday, wrote the 1993 book, "You Are Not Alone: Words of Experience and Hope for the Journey through Depression," with Larry Rothstein. She also wrote, "A Change of Heart: Words of Experience and Hope for the Journey through Divorce," published in 1996.
Putting aside any obvious political overtones in it, now, I profiled her somewhat during the run-up to the Presidential election.
Everyone loves a mystery, so is it any wonder about speculation regarding John Kerry's first wife, Julia Thorne? Evidently she has decided to not become a part of the political frey this campaign season ... and who can blame her?

Sorry to hear about this lady's death, at much too young an age!
But I am glad that she managed to find some happiness with a new partner after her years with Kerry, and the frustrations of being a political wife that appears to drive so many women to despair!

She had class and grace. May Mrs. Thorne rest in peace.
