Well, this is just swell. At least he was only in the press office and not a field agent.
MIAMI (AP) -- The deputy press secretary for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security was arrested Tuesday for using the Internet to seduce what he thought was a teenage girl, authorities said.
Brian J. Doyle, 55, was arrested at his residence in Maryland on charges of use of a computer to seduce a child and transmission of harmful material to a minor. The charges were issued out of Polk County, Fla.
Doyle, of Silver Spring, Md., had a sexually explicit conversation with what he believed was a 14-year-old girl whose profile he saw on the Internet on March 14, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.
The girl was an undercover Polk County Sheriff's Computer Crimes detective, the sheriff's office said.
Doyle sent the girl pornographic movie clips and had sexually explicit conversations via the Internet, the statement said.

Oh, my.

Chertoff must go.

Why he's even more embarassing than Cynthia McKinney. At least she had the good sense to pick on someone her age. She may resemble buckwheat but no one has ever accused her of being a perv.

Caught by Bible Belt Polk County Sheriff, Grady Judd will ensure Bubba-Court will issue MAXIMUM sentencing ...VERY conservative community. NO Adult nothing, period!
Ref a adult website case which went on there recently....
"If obscene content is accessible in Polk County or Florida on the Internet, it's in violation of the law," Judd said.

While I certainly agree that Chertoff MUST go. It is not his fault that there are perverts in the world. I am also glad that there are "Bible belt" criminalists who are willing to give the max to old men who want to screw 14 year olds. I am VERY,VERY suspicious of anyone who thinks otherwise.

The whole Admin must go. I am sure the Evangelicals appreciate that this whole lot used them as there face to the nation what a joke
Posted by: RJ | Wednesday, April 05, 2006 at 11:05 AM
Good grief. One perv and it's the government versus religious sects. No wonder 'reason' is in absentia everywhere. Everyone has to drag a bunch of crap into everything.
Hmmm.... did the Homeland Security Department use the Catholic church to face the nation. Why, sho nuff, honey.... you heah 'bout that pervert dey caught?
Posted by: Phoenix | Wednesday, April 05, 2006 at 12:33 PM
He is the second guy from this office to be charged the first masterbated in front of a minor. My point was that Bush talks so much about his party and religious affiliations that the Evangelicals will probably not want to be mentioned again when it comes to this administration

Oh. I see. By your logic, the Pope should disassociate himself with the Catholic church, blacks should not disassociate themselves from Cynthia McKinney, the NRA should disassociate themselves from Cheney, the NAACP, Belafonte, J. Jackson should disassociate themselves from Condoleeza Rice, and any Evangelical who masturbates should leave the church.
Okay. I understand now.

That is not what I am saying at all. Aside from the religious issue my point was that many are losing faith in this admin for several mishaps not just these. Sounds to me like you think child sexual assault is not a problem. Maybe you should turn back into those ashes you rose from dumbass.

A law enforcment officer pretending to be a young slutty girl with the intent of encouraged some fat old lonely guy to engage in in dirty talk via email. Huh.

what are you saying Sgt.? That it is OK because she is slutty?

Re: "That it is OK because she is slutty?"
I have no idea whether 'she' is actually slutty... we are talking about an ADULT POLICE OFFICER pretending to be a slutty young girl. If I were on the jury, I would have an open mind going into this to see how much baiting was involved. The fat old geezer is cleary pathetic but I'd like to read the email exchanges before convicting him of being a child molester.

Rj,
"Sounds to me like you think child sexual assault is not a problem."
Far from it. I do have a problem with people taking one problem and making much of it. What this guy did or didn't do, happens everywhere, millions of times a day. That it happened to a guy who works for the Homeland Security Office - and he was caught doing whatever from his home computer - and all of a sudden the administration needs to be changed, by god, and Chertoff needs to be fired, by god, and Evangelicals should cavil and bitch that Bush is a phony...... GIVE ME A BREAK.
WE are nuts in how quickly we throw our rage around and politicize everything and stick religious bullshit into the picture. Until the story comes out, the WHAT IF'S should cease.
As for people losing faith in this administration.... Yeah? Find me one where the people DIDN'T.
Posted by: Phoenix | Wednesday, April 05, 2006 at 06:33 PM
I believe in the seperation of Church and State. It is Bush that brought it into the political ring and all I am saying is that they may not appreciate being associated with some of these folks. I myself have no affiliation with a Church only my personal relationship with God. It is not my intention to argue with you only to point out that some people may really question being associated with some in this administration.
Posted by: RJ | Wednesday, April 05, 2006 at 08:25 PM
And for making much of it. What is that to mean? Sounds like you still don't think his offense was that serious. And if you can comprehend what you read you would know that although he used his home computer he gave her his gov. issued cell number and the address to where he works. You act as if he has done nothing wrong. Like it or not he has further sullied the rep of this administration along with many others as of late

This guy is also the same DHS mouthpiece who came to the rescue of the air marshalls who murdered
Rigoberto Alpizar in Dec of 2005 in a jetway at Miami International Airport.
I guess Doyle's karma is catching up with him.

CNN reported this weekend that Doyle had some type of child porn on his pc while working at Time (magazine?) before DHS. I'll see if I can find a link.
Yeah, I guess his pc was acting all slutty and stuff.

OK, here ya go:
http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/04/07/homeland.arrest/index.html
excerpt:
"Friends and former co-workers say Doyle was disciplined by Time magazine after he allegedly used company computers to view adult pornography in the publication's Washington bureau office.
Time magazine and CNN are both owned by Time Warner.
Time began an investigation after an employee in the bureau complained after finding offensive photographs on her computer, sources said. The photos, which were not of juveniles, were traced to Doyle. The complaint was dropped after Doyle's colleagues signed a petition of support, the sources said.
Doyle received a formal warning and was required to undergo mental health counseling before returning to work, the sources said.
Sources disagree over whether Time suspended Doyle or whether he took a leave of absence after the incident.
Time magazine said only that it employed Doyle for 26 years and refused to comment further."
OK, so it wasn't "child porn" on the TIME mag pc. He's got a big problem and it ain't the fault of GWB or the Pope. Shall we go after TIME WARNER executives? ROFL

I think most law enforcement officers are pedophiles deep down, that's why they are so intent on catching them , they in a twisted way want to catch themselves. They are all sick twisted power hungry molesters.
