Blog Down! Blog Down!
Welcome to the wonderful world of cyber-terrorism, my friends. It appears there's been a DOS attack possibly launched from Saudi Arabia targeted at a specific group of blogs.
It certainly isn't nearly as significant as so many acts of terrorism we've seen. But don't think that certain people aren't out there and looking around. God forbid someone were to eavesdrop on them. Now wouldn't that be a terrible disregard for their rights?
Of course, asuming this is related to radical Islam, it would simply continue to prove what an utter disregard they have for the life, liberty and rights of others. But the Left doesn't want us to fight fire with fire, I assume they'd prefer to simply burn.
DOS is short for Denial Of Service. Blogs discussing or posting on topic via Memeorandum

HOSTING MATTERS IS DOWN as the result of a DOS attack. They're working on it. The only other thing I know is that it originates in Saudi Arabia. I'll be posting here until it's fixed.
UPDATE: Rand Simberg emails, correctly, that originating in Saudi Arabia doesn't actually mean that the perpetrators are Saudis -- just the computers they've hijacked. True enough.

Poor Dan. Always the victim.

I'm sorry, but isn't there a Right-Wing President right now? Why don't you ask him for the go-ahead and nuke a bunch of people because some stupid website went offline for a few hours.
Idiots.

"isn't there a Right-Wing President right now?"
Depends on who you ask.
If you ask capital-L Liberals, then he's a "neo-con" [which definition seems to change according to which accuser uses it].
If you ask fiscal conservatives, Goldwater conservatives, or libertarians, they'll claim he's nowhere close to right-wing.
If you ask the "religious right" they say, "nope, he's right here in the center with us."

Hell, if someone had used a New Zealand proxy, this little ole country could be blown right off the map by now... That's if, of course, 'the powers that be', had the geographical naus to know where the hell we're located in the Pacific.
More than likely, Aussie would be scattered all over the globe.
