Er, uh, I mean Albany, the capitol of New York.
A New York State Senator is accused of harassing a staffer in her Albany office.
According to the Albany Times Union, Queens Democrat Ada Smith allegedly threw coffee in the staffers face, and pulled her hair.
This wouldn't be the first time Smith faced allegations by a staffer. Last year, she was cleared of an accusation by a former chief of staff who said he was terminated because he is homosexual.
Also, in 1996 she allegedly threatened one employee with a knife. She denied this charge.
And check this out: George Clooney - We've educated half of the world's terrorists.
Any chance he was talking about the Taliban at Yale? I don't think so. That would be honest but politically incorrect.
Something is very wrong at our elite universities. Last month Larry Summers resigned as president of Harvard; today Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi will speak by video to a conference at Columbia University that his regime is cosponsoring. (Columbia won't answer questions about how much funding it got from Libya or what implied strings were attached.) Then there's Yale, which for three weeks has refused to make any comment or defense beyond a vague 144-word statement about its decision to admit Sayed Rahmatullah Hashemi--a former ambassador-at-large of the murderous Afghan Taliban--as a special student.

I guess they figure if the United States doesn't have a problem letting him into the country then he has every right to attend university there.
"Cosponsor" (read paid by) the event. I can hear (cha-ching) sound of that transaction from way down south.

Yes, let us remain in ignorance of our world partners and enemies. By all means, draw the line, us vs. them. Why are we in the guagmire known as Iraq, because we didn't understand the people. Why, because we dismiss them as enemies or simply uncivilized and unworthy or our attention.
What exactly are you so scared of? Who cares if Qaddafi (sp?) speaks? If you are worried that the strength of our arguments for our actions will be challenged, then what does that say about the strenght of our arguments?
Seriously, what is it that conservatives fear so much?

Do you realize that Karzai recognizes the Taliban as a legitimate political party in Afghanistan? And, HOW exactly is this person allowed in the country? I'm sure the BILLIONS we have spend on Homeland Security wouldn't allow a threat to enter.
Do you know that education is one of the "dangles" most often used to recruit agents? Duh.

AV ...
You REALLY want to know what 'conservatives' fear so much?
People who assume they are entitled to an opinion just because they can speak.
On my planet, one must engage the brain before one's mouth works.
Sort of like putting a car in gear, only ... the worst that can happen if a car runs into to something is a few people might die.
When an idiot runs off at the mouth - millions can die.

Yes, millions certainly are going to die if those idiot left wing liberals keep on spouting anti US propaganda regarding Iraq, and making the terrorists believe that if they keep up the terror campaign in Iraq, then the US will lose heart and leave, thus leaving it open for them to take over completely.
Only thing is, the left wing liberals don't get the message, that once the terrorist have captured Iraq, they wont be far behind waging the war on US soil, and who can blame them, they can read, and their favourite newspapers must be the left wing liberal press which certainly gives them plenty of encouragement!

How, exactly, would Terrorist wage war on US soil? And, specifically, how does Iraq have anything to do with that? Iraq wasn't supporting the Taliban when they struck on 9/11. Iraq has no WMD, HAD no WMD. Pakistan does...and missiles and OBL.
Yes, of course, it's the left wing and the MSM that is causing problems in Iraq...not our CINC's and SECDEF's incompetence. It's ALWAYS someone else's fault.
Annie, why aren't you enlisting? If you believe so strongly and are so scared of the evil terrorist boogey man, why not enlist, get trained and go out and kills some?
Yellow elephant anyone?

Steel...pot, this is kettle, black.
You have yet to intelligently counter any of my arguments or ideas and have engaged in endless personal attacks. Now, please tell me how that demonstrates that you think before you open your mouth?
So far, this administration has been in charge since 2000. Since that time, around 2600 soldiers have died, about 15k+ have been wounded. We have been exposed for torturing prisoners and summary executions on the battlefield. We lost 3000 in the Pentagon and WTC. We have probably killed, conservatively, 50k Iraqi civilians. Have sparked a near civil war in Iraq. Watched as Spain, London and Indonesia lose another 1000 people. Have spent in excess of half a TRILLION dollars in security and war - none of which is paid for. Lost another 1000 in New Orleans. And, have yet to pacify Iraq after 3 years or capture OBL after 5.
Yeah, we're doing pretty well.
Seriously, what is it going to take for you to see the incompetence? Just tell me. What would Bush have to do to make you see?
Hate and fear are horrible traits to define a personality.
