Saddam Had Plan To Blow Camels

Via the Telegraph, we learn that Saddam Hussein was enlisting would be jihadists in what was an attempt to emply suicide bombers against the opposition during the Iraq War. His plan included training what would likely have been a force of foreign nationals in the use of explosives and suicide bomb techniques.

Notes on documents recently released by our Pentagon include information on delivering suicide attacks using motorcycles, cars, and, yes, even camels. The plan also included instructions for prayers to be shouted by individuals during an attack.

Saddam Hussein planned to use "camels of mass destruction" as weapons to defend Iraq, loading them with bombs and directing them towards invading forces.

The animals were part of a plan to arm and equip foreign insurgents drawn up by the dictator shortly before the American-led invasion three years ago, reveals a 37-page report, captured after the fall of Baghdad and just released by the Pentagon. It is part of a cache of thousands of documents that the United States Department of Defence says it does not have the resources to translate.
