What are they crazy? This can't be handled or enforced at the state level.
2. The operator of any interactive computer service or an Internet service provider shall establish, maintain and enforce a policy to require any information content provider who posts written messages on a public forum website either to be identified by a legal name and address, or to register a legal name and address with the operator of the interactive computer service or the Internet service provider through which the information content provider gains access to the interactive computer service or Internet, as appropriate.

Maybe New Jersey is going to put a giant firewall around the providers in NJ -- sort of like what China has!! ;)

Bell Telelphone tried this about 20 years ago. New customers had to go in person to apply for a phone, show ID, social security number. Proved to be more of a hassel than anything.

I guess the same would then be applied to public bulletin boards such as those on campuses, picket & politicking signs, etc. This is a blatant 1st Amendment violation. Taking what Dan said one step further - this is not enforceable at ANY level of the government.
