So much for that hot tip.
A Sylvania Township firm's search in Aruba for missing teen Natalee Holloway ended yesterday without clues to her whereabouts.
Police on the Dutch island were acting on a tip that Miss Holloway was buried somewhere in dunes in a beach area about the size of two football fields and needed some high-tech help.
Ground Penetrating Radar Systems of Sylvania Township donated an employee and its ground radar equipment to search the area after they were contacted by Don Wood, head of Child Watch in Orlando, through an Internet search.
"They got down there and searched beach areas and caves," Mr. Wood said.
Unfortunately, he said, nothing was found.
The company has volunteered its services for future searches, if needed, Mr. Wood said.
Update: From the mail bag:
According to a dutch newspaper 'The telegraaf' (The Telegraph) an
investigative team from the KLPD will assist the Aruban Police Department,
no comment was made (by a KLPD spokesperson) what the support would entail
or wether any members have already left for Aruba.

How many searches? Where is the belt?

so if his "source" said they would find a body there and there wasnt... does that mean that there "she took drugs" comments not count either at this point? Im assumeing here that the same person that told them where to search also told him she died because she took drugs. if one so call truth is proven to be a lie dose that cover the other so called truth as well?
Im irritated that anytime someone comes up with some "new" information they just assume its the truth and run with it.

you know, maybe this thing would get resolved if the people of Aruba focused their anger and energy on Paulus and Joran Van Der Liars. Instead of throwing them an emotional tickertape parade, how about snubbing these two who brought disgrace to that beautiful island??? They're in Aruba's arms all warm and cozy and no reason to feel they've hurt paradise.

by everyone.
Why can Joran ever come to the USA, he is a suspect in an investigation ! !
So should that damn LE. How sad that they put this crap out there and it is crap and then there is the big let down for the family.
Can you imagine how many times they have done this to the families ?
What as*h@^%s they are in that Dept of Injustice.

This "investigation" and these Monkeys running the ALE are the biggest joke since Bozo the Clown
Posted by: Sandee's Mother | Friday, March 24, 2006 at 10:45 PM
My theory is that it is all a bluff. Dompig really DOESN'T have a witness who says he knows where Natalee is buried, and that is why he keeps putting off the date when the search will begin. If they are running out of leads but suspect that Joran and/or the Kalpoes buried Natalee with the help of accomplices, they may be trying to shake loose the accomplices by making them think they have an informant and will be finding Natalee's body any day now.
Posted by: postahchild | Friday, March 24, 2006 at 11:36 PM
Well, if they " strongly believe " that Natalee wasn't murdered then maybe, he could explain why Joran and the 2 K's are still
" under suspicion " for murder.
If the police chief doesn't believe that there was a murder, can he be asked to speak at a hearing to release Joran and the 2 K's ?
There is no doubt in my mind that there is a motive that is favorable to the suspects in the statements that Dompig is giving.
I don't think that Dompig is that much of an idiot. J2K's are being given the benefit of doubt, but for what reason is he trying make the suspects look better and the victim look worse.?

Class? Your country has been covering up the murder of Natalee for nine months!
Just try and dress that stinkball up all you want.

If Natalee was buried in the dunes, that'd be one surefire way to get found out. Dunes change shape all the time, because of the wind. Why bury if you've got wild, onhospitable ocean all around you?

All "new" theories seem to come back to square #1......
However, again thinking back when all 3 were in jail for the summer......being that they were 17-21, I would think they would be nervous as he** in being jailed for that length of time, wouldn't at least one of them spill the beans or did someone make them feel confident they would be exonerated?
Seems like more pressure and isolation from each other at this point may bring different comments.
As far as previous info saying that JVDS wasn't "really" friends with 2K and only 3 months worth at max....seems, to me, it was a relationship of 2K being "cling-ons" with a wealthy kid with hopes of getting JVDS' castoff gals OR perhaps 2K providing drugs to JVDS.
In any event, these 3 know more but have gotten the confidence somewhere to be vague. Too bad JVDS got lawyered up....now all those "free" interviews have ended. Media should have given him as much air time as they could muster and get his words on record before he and family were served with the civil suit.
As for 2K.....not sure if they have the finances to lawyer up much longer. Perhaps they still remain the weakest link in this case and can be pressured.

Lastnight on Greta, they previewed the 48HOURS interview with the host (Roberts). Somehow they "forgot" to mention that the dune search showed absolutely nothing. They also "forgot" to mention that this interview was back in Februrary! However, Roberts DID say that Aruba was furious with Dompig (again.) How ANYONE can look at this fiasco and STILL support this as a valid investigation is beyond me. For all those calling Beth and Dave names -- can you not see what they "saw" 7 months ago????? Pathetic.

david1017 observed:
"She will never be found. No one will ever be convicted of any crime in connection with her disappearance. The truth will never be known."
I regret that I must agree with the accuracy of his comment. The Aruban people (esp. Julia Renfrow [sp],) Herr Dumb pig, etc, have utterly failed to recognize, admit, investigate that a crime was committed, that some of their own are responsible, and they are covering up, denying, etc. IMO adequate reason for a reasonable, thinking, caring person NEVER to go near the stinking place. The continual denials and coverups are what make me so angry. They started out blaming Natalee, and added her mother, Beth, to their most hated list. It is apparent that, as david1017 said, that the truth will never be known ... because the arubans don't want it to be known.
Posted by: tracker | Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 01:22 PM
Unfortunately david 1017 is probably correct as are you, tracker. The more ridiculous crap they spin from Aruba and have it flacked by yo-yo's like Harry Tho and Dan, the more people realize how cheap it is to, ahem, purchase any of them. In fact, a small stroke of the giant ego is all it takes to get many of them onboard since their powers of logic are so severely limited they think we are as spaced out as they are and will buy any nitwit theory that they have bought.
Posted by: bbunnybluebird | Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 02:12 PM
I find it funny, nobody was pissed off when he claimed Nat was dead, Nobody was pissed off when Beth claimed J2K raped and murdered Nat without witnesses or forensics to prove anything. People do not like the fact that this could be a valid theory. If there are witnesses to prove that she had drugs and that she was drinking all day then it could be a valid theory. Sometimes people do not like to admit that everthing must be checked out and looked into. J2K might be innocent, but people only want to hear that she was killed by J2K, raped ect. I would rather hear she died by accident than hear she was gang raped, murdered etc etc. It is not blaming the victim to say she might have made some bad choices.
Posted by: Myth | Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 02:48 PM
I disagree with the comment that "Aruba doesnt want the truth to get out". I absolutely believe that most in power there and a vast majority of Aruba's citizens want this solved and over with. When I said the truth will likely never be known, I did not mean to imply that the truth was being hidden by ALE or anyone else, except of course for those involved in NHs disappearance, who obviously arent talking, whoever they may be. I tend to think that ALE does have evidence to support a accidental death theory; I believe there is very little if any evidence of an intentional death. No blood; no forensics to speak of; no weapon; no body; no witnesses; all equals no case.
Lots of things could have and should have been done differently, by all sides. It doesnt do any good to point fingers. You cant change yesterday. BHT and her followers have not furthered the investigation in my opinion; they have hindered it. ALE lost valuable time and possibly evidence in the first two weeks by jumping the gun on the two guards. The boys lied and their lies got them locked up and interrogated for the summer, and they didnt spill the beans. I dont think they killed her. I think there are other players in this that have remained under the radar. Perhaps Dom has more up his sleeve, as he indicated a break/solving of the case was at hand. But will it satisfy our hunger for the truth?

following: 1) engagement in illegal activities; 2) impaired driving, resulting in car accidents (48 % of 18 olds admit to driving under the influence); 3) vulnerability to victimization by others;4) greater
likelihood of inflicting harm upon themselves. 5) poor school performance. The surveys also clearly reveal where and when teenagers use alcohol orother drugs: The most common locale by far is in the homes of friendson the weekends. I tend to think that ALE does have evidence to support a accidental death theory.... by David
How could they have " evidence " when they are just theorizing ?
I would like to know what facts led them to this conclusion. Ten months later.
I do not like, that because Dompig cannot solve this case or find the body that it is because the HT's interferred with the case or because Natalee somehow was responsible for her own demise. Picking on the MB community is also is also a diversion to deflect the attention away from Dompig.
Where is Jan VDS in all this ?
He was in charge at the beginning and had plenty to say about J2K.
I don't support a boycott of the whole of Aruba
but anyone who has been involved in this case from the ALE seems very idiotic vs the J2K's and Paulus who seem very versed in the ways of the justice system in Aruba.
The ones who have jobs with the ALE should be demoted or fired, the VDS's and the two Kalpoe brothers shunned. The 2 Kalpoe brothers are not citizens of Aruba, their visas or work permits should not be renewed. Or revoke the visas.
Joran will always be a suspect no matter what. His priviledges to enter the USA should be revoked via American Immigration.
The USA and my country Canada do not need to have low life of bad character entering our countries. They are only so many student visas , work permits, regular visas .. why issue them to these creeps when there are some very deserving foreigners who covet these visas and visitors permits. Who were never arrested on suspicion of anything.
I went tru American Immigation in December with some other individuals who were not citizens of Canada. Even tho all had valid passports and had lived in Canada for many years it took hours. They had to have their photos taken and were fingerprinted. All six of us were looked up in their computers.
We were allowed to enter of course, but there was another fellow there who was turned back because of something that was found out about him in the " computer ".
Posted by: Kat_Gram | Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 03:56 PM
I'd say the missing individual is the underdog. Perhaps your husband should donate his time to that effort instead.
As for allowing JVS into the U.S., if I were the holloways I would be counting the days until he arrives, because he would disappear shortly thereafter for intense questioning. Wouldn't take long to find out the truth about what he actually knows.
Posted by: bj | Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 04:00 PM
Medicine girl.. you are in the wrong place here. If your hubby met the VDS family, and he is a lawyer, then he has the resources to find the place. Give ALL your money to the defence fund. Have you hubby work pro bono for the rest of his life. Have your hubby go on tv and get famous. Get some more money and donate it ALL to the cause of whitewashing the VDS's.
Why are the VDS the underdogs ?
Seems to me the victim and her parents are the real losers here. THEY DON'T HAVE THEIR DAUGHTER.
Posted by: Kat_Gram | Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 04:03 PM
Narrow minded view Ketgram. We in North America have plenty of foreign bad guys coming in every day. Did you hear about 9-11? JVS hasnt been proved to be a criminal; just a liar. If that got you banned from entering the US then most of us would be gone.........
Posted by: david1017 | Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 04:14 PM
And further more ... Why does Aruba NOT have their own justice system ?
These departments of their government are still under the Netherlands by their OWN ( the MEP and Oduber ) request.
I goota go,am feeling angry and people on this blog have really nothing to do with the circumstances of the case.

Narrow minded ? Right now ... yes !
The three suspects and they are still suspects according to their own laws, whine about not being able to go to the US now to get an education. Deepak's sport jacket was destroyed by the ALE. BooHoo.
Deepak might have to come to a lowly Canadian University after all this !
The ability of the three to earn a living is the US has been hindered right now. Another
hearty BooHoo.

Kat Gram,
I am sorry you are full of that much hate, but why insult Canadian Universities. Check your facts, Canada has some of the best Universities in the world.( Canada has the only Institute for Quantumm Computing).Just because you have an ego and think you are the best and have the best schools, doesn't make you right. Plus J2K are allowed to go anywhere in the world. They have not been convicted of anything at this time. The case is still on going. Remember the police have stated they are still open to other options other then J2K. Since they are still open to other options one can deduce that they have little to no evidence which implicates J2K.
Posted by: Myth | Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 04:47 PM
Hate ?
It was Deepak who lamented that he might have to go to a Canadian University as if now his life was wrecked, not me. I know what we have here. I live here. Our Universities and Colleges are subsidized by our taxpayer dollars.
I don't know how it works in the States, but
I am sure all the costs are not covered by the students tuition.
Why should people of bad character be able to have the priviledge of coming to either country. ?
By the way, lying to the police in an investigation is a crime here in Canada.
Posted by: Kat_Gram | Saturday, March 25, 2006 at 05:07 PM
If they get Convicted, then refuse there entry into both countries, but until then they have a right just like anyone else. Problem is their still is no proof they did anything wrong, other then lying initially. On another note everyone in this case has lied including the family of Natalee. The other 1/2 the time I deal with the people whose numbers I just looked at.
I am just interested in human nature. I use

judgement in dealing with the clients of the program I work for.

I wouldn't be surprised if the information regarding the heavy drinking and being in the possession of other drugs came directly from one or several of the Mountain Brook kids. They would be the ones most likely to know those facts. But the location of her body and how she died would have to come from those there at the time it happened. I think that she OD'd while screwing around with Joran at the lighthouse and his daddy is the one who covered up the body.
