Natalee Holloway - When Joran Met Natalee

It's at least plausible that nearly the precise time Natalee Holloway encountered Joran Van Der Sloot on that last night in Carlos and Charlies was all but caught on film. It requires certain assumptions, but the timeline and images do add up.

Several images taken inside of Carlos and Charlies that night by an American tourist were time stamped. It is possible that the new CBS picture is time stamped, too; however, I have no way of knowing.

What can be surmised is evidenced in the included images.

At some point we see Natalee dancing on the stage with an individual which is not Joran Van Der Sloot. Top image right. We can tell that from CBS' exploded view of the picture. That individual is wearing a red, white and blue short sleeve shirt. Joran was wearing his usual white with blue plaid striped shirt that night.

In the full view of the picture (2 down) the individual with the light blue shirt and white shorts could prove helpful in setting the time line.

According to the time stamps on the tourist's pictures, at 12:14:51 AM Natalee can be seen extending her arm down from the stage. (3 down)The portion of the image including the top of her blouse and arm has been lightened with the contrast adjusted for maximum viewing.

The fourth image down is time stamped 12:30:27 AM. It appears as though it is possible the boy in the blue open shirt has climbed down from the stage. In that same picture we see Joran Van Der Sloot basically roaming around Carlos and Charlies by himself.

Whether the blue shirted boy is the same individual or not doesn't matter. It is still safe to assume that Natalee and Joran were not together yet at 12:30 - apparently they encounter one another just after Joran made his way to the side of the bar with the stage.

Putting together what has been stated with what we can see, it would appear that the image containing Joran Van Der Sloot was snapped within minutes, if not seconds of his having met Natalee Holloway at Carlos and Charlies that night.

The final image at bottom is not relevant to the disappearance of Natalee Holloway. However, it does show that by 1:05 AM that night, the stage, as well as the club was basically empty.

Unfortunately, whatever transpired between the two between the time of the last two pictures shown led to Natalee Holloway leaving Carlos and Charlies with three strange boys that night and not coming back.

Wow, after all of this time, it is still a bit creepy to see that photo of Natalee dancing. She has such a big smile on her face, and it's hard to know that that photo was taken on what must be the last night of her life. Sad.

One thing is for certain, Natalee does not appear to be "falling down drunk" in these photos. She looks like she is having a good time and in good spirits, but does not look "out of it" really. She appears to be having coherent conversations with other people.

You present some interesting timeline information Dan. It is rather amazing that in such a short time she would go from talking to her friends and having a good time with them to suddenly leaving C&C's a half hour later with three people she barely knew. It is so sad to see her enjoying herself and then know it was probably her last enjoyable moment.

Yea Honey I remember these photos from last year. Two different guys. The pattern of the shirt is different, Joran's is a darker blue plaid than the guy at the bar. Also the head, God bless mama Van der sloot for enduring child birth. Holy cow. The guy at the bar doesn't have that large domed head that Joran does. Lastly, look at the facial hair. The guy at the bar has a five o'clock shadow, Joran still has the baby face.

When Alana Jordan went back into the bar to look for stragglers, there was only 1 MB kid left in the bar. So assuming the 1:05 timestamp is accurate, if the blurred individuals are MBers, that would mean when Alana and her 2 friends encountered Nat and Joran walking up the street outside CnCs (and incidentally that enounter contradicts Joran's story on several points) it had to be sometime after 1:05.

No doubt she was plenty looped after a day of partying, but in all fairness its likely that the flash made her eyes look much glassier in the picture than what they really were.

Yes. Natalee does have that same stupid drugged out glassy eyed/alcohol induced smile on her face in the photo. I saw a photo of one of her friends named Francis Ellen Byrd who had a very similar stupid glassy drugged out smile on her face that was posted in the summer or fall on this blog.
I have also saw this same drugged out glassy eyed stupid smile on the faces of several hundered other young adults faces in the emergency department where I work and they were jacked up on alcohol and XTC and some were also hoped on coke, but they all had the same or very similar facial expressions.
People just dont have any ideal or realize what their kids and their friends can and do get into when they party.
Just because Natalee was an honor student etc does not mean that she did not drink and do drugs with her friends and have wild sex before she went to Aruba. Knowing this age of young female and male adults and their actions very well, you can rest assured that Natalee was no different that most of the other kids in her class and she did most if not all the same things as her friends and other students in her class did. I suspect that Natalee simply partied a little bit too hard her last night in Aruba and it cost her her life. Any and all of my above statements about Natalee ARE NOT said in any negative way and are only stated as by my professional observations of what I see with my own two eyes in the ED/ER.

Natalee had a full ride scholarship in a pre-med program at the University of Alabama at Tuscaloosa.
This college is also referred to as the Capstone since there are several different branches of the University of Alabama College System. It is true that that the medical, dental,optometry and nursing schools are at UAB. If Natalee had finished the pre-med program at UA with high enough academic grades in all her required subjects,she could have applied for admittance into UAB as well as many other medical schools in the USA.

I am a travel nurse and I accepted an assignment to work in several different hospitals in the Birmingham area from May till December 2005. The nursing agency I work for pays 100 percent of all my college tuition cost as one of the company benefits and I am also required by State laws to take a certain number of continuing education hours every two years in order to maintain my nursing license. I took classes at both colleges and this is how and why I ended up attending both UA and UAB and ended up attending several classes that contained Natalee's classmates from MB.

For the record I am in my late twenties and by my physical appearance I look no older that twenty y/o and I am currently an Associate Degree Registered Nurse and I am working toward my Masters degree so I can attend a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist program or attend medical school.

I currently live in my home state and attend UTHSCH.
