The two 17-year-olds were abducted and assaulted in a room under a shed on Hinson's property, Darlington County Chief Deputy Tom Gainey said. The girls were left bound but managed to free themselves. Gainey said they opened the trap door in the floor and kick down the shed's door.
Hinson is wanted on kidnapping and criminal sexual conduct charges. There have been no confirmed sightings of him and no confirmed contact with any of his family in the area, Gainey said Friday.
Hinson was convicted of raping a 12-year-old girl in 1991 and had been recommended for the state's sexually violent predator program just before his release from prison in 2000, but was rejected during the screening process, the state attorney general's office said.
A circuit judge later ruled that prosecutors had failed to show Hinson would likely offend again.
Another terrible crime and another outrageous act by our legal system. Perhaps we should ask the circuit judge if he thinks there's enough reason to list Hinson on the dangerous predator list now? Good luck! He'd probably still find a reason to handle Hinson with kid gloves and not list him. It's getting to the point where I'm tired of getting angry that we continue to let these people back into our society to prey upon our young.
Some like to point to the so-called advancement of our system of justice. What justice? I'd be more than happy to go back 100 years in cases like this and see what we did with these miscreants then - hanging is too good for the dirt bags. Certainly everyone deserves their day in court. And I'm not suggesting simply lynching someone because they are suspected of this type of crime - but enough is enough. Once tried fairly and convicted, such garbage doesn't need to see the light of day, again.
Meanwhile the judges and defense attorneys so concerned with protecting this human filth most likely live relatively secure lives in areas where these types of crimes are rare. And from that safe and comfortable, if not smug, sensibility, there's nothing they seem to like better than naval gazing over the Constitution long enough to find non-existent rationales for continuing to put average citizens at risk.
We should have a referendum in this country. When a judge makes this kind of ruling and the individual re-offends, the judge serves the same sentence as the criminal. Hey, they want to sue gun makers for gun crimes, auto makers for car accidents, why not hold our public servants accountable in the same manner for a change. Then watch how fast scumbags like Hinson get to spend the rest of their lives in jail where they belong.

It is the "criminal" justice system-not the "victim" justice system.

I disagree. They need to see the light of day once more. High noon. Hang them then.

They should let those 2 girls shoot that bastard when they find him.

Personally, let him have a Lorena Bobbitt Special. These types of repeat sexual offenders are NOT rehabilitatable! Cut the thingie off so they won't do it again! I am so sick of hearing these pervs have a disease. No kid gloves should be used on these criminals.
Our system sucks for the victims and perps. We need more public awareness, and more then an offenders registry, They should not be allowed to move into a place without the police notifiying each and every home within a specified radius. And they should not be allowed to move into a place within 5 miles of any daycare or school, PERIOD, How about ZERO tolerance for anything less?

If anyone is convicted of rape of a child (under 17) it is automatically LIFE in prison without parole period. We should build prisons just for these idiots, and I am not talking about the comfy type of prison, where they get 3 meals a day, cooked by excellent chefs, or tv, or able to go to the library, or outside for "gym". Let them sit the rest of their days in in a cement 6x9 cell, with bread and water, and let them just ROT.
As for the judges who release these types back into society. Rip them of their law license, and MAKE them DO community service, by helping at RAPE shelters. OR make them have to divi up the expense it will take for counseling for these victims!

I agree with you 100%. I read your blog regularly but this story is too close to home. This incident happened about 30 miles from my home. I have a daughter that is 16. These two girls were kidnapped from their home while sleeping. I thank the good Lord that they were able to escape. I pray that the Monster that committed this crime is soon captured. We hear that he could still be in the area. His picture is now listed on the website for South Carolina's sexual predators. Everyone take a good at the picture and be on the lookout.

I totally agree. There in no punishment too severe for this piece of filth. As a woman, I am so tired of seeing these stories over and over again, of our innocent women and children at the mercy of these cowardly sickos. When is this going to end???
That will put that sicko to death that killed Carlie Brucsia, but he will get to live for maybe 20 years while Carlie never got to live even 15 years because of him. Its time to just give out what the victim got. Better yet, let the victim be the one to fulfill the death sentence for these pervs. I am burning mad, and every story I hear I just keep getting more upset.
Keep the filth in jail where they belong, and let them prey upon each other in there......

The system has to do more than just post their pictures.
There should be 0% chance to re-offend...whatever that implies, so be it.
The judicial system is a bust. Everything gets bargained and plead-down, from small trivial offenses liek speeding all the way up to the most serious crimes.
Having said that, concentrating on judges is a waste of time. Judges are people, prone to error and bias...perhaps thats is why we are allowed a jury of our peers.
The first step is to change the laws so they are more strict with minimums and clear guidance making it such that the meaning of the laws can only be interpreted in one single way.

Send them all to a "survivor" type island, after their first conviction, and let em fend for themselves. No boat, no food, nothing from society except each other. That way we never have to worry about them again. Either they'll take care of each other, or the "unknowns" out there will take care of them for us!
These types of crimes against our children and woman has GOT to stop!

If women weren't so stingy with P*ssy in America there would not be perverted acts by adult males against juvenile females. People need to wake up and start pointing their fat little fingers back where the problem stems from...yourselves.

The guy was found not guilty.
Does that mean that the knucklehead who writes this blog should go to prison instead of the judge?

Yeah! Let the bigmouth sit in prison, and then give him a jury of 12 closeminded idiots just like himself!
