Feingold said he believed "a large troop presence has a tendency to fuel the insurgency because they can make the incorrect and unfair claim that the U.S. is here to occupy the country."
"I think that it's very possible that the sectarian differences are inflamed by the fact that U.S. troops are here," he continued, adding that their long-term presence "may well be destabilizing, not stabilizing."
Feingold didn't make that statement on the Senate floor, no, that's not good enough. He made it in Baghdad! There are few if any polite terms to characterize what this foolish, foolish man has done. Apparently it isn't enough just to give the New york Times the fodder it needs to undermine the war and fuel the terrorists in Iraq. Feingold has to take it right to the enemy. What a shame; his aides must have forgotten to pack his white flag.
There is absolutely no excuse for making statements like that on the very ground where we have soldiers fighting and dying. And it is hardly the message we want to be giving to the Iraqi people through their own news outlets.
And, of course, as usual, next we'll be hearing from Feingold about what a strong supporter of the troops he is. Nonsense. If he had any regard for supporting them at all, the least he would do is keep his mouth shut while in country. What an absolute disgrace to the Senate. The less than a man should be censured, never mind his silly, politically motivated call to censure Bush.

This asshole expects to run for president??? Does he really think anyone would vote for him??? Of course he does---fool.

Sadly, millions of people would gladly vote for him. After all, look how many of them voted for Kerry.

Yeah, we won't pull out until we've avenged all 300,000 dead Iraqis under Saddam with another 300,000 dead insurgents. If we EVER pull out, the insurgents will win! We aren't gonna fight this war for five, ten, twenty years just so we can pull out and let Osama win. Avenge the deaths of American soldiers by killing more Iraqis than Saddam ever did! Yeah! F*ck yeah!!! Kill 'em!!! Kill 'em ALL! Yeah! F*ck yeah!!!
Wow, I really like this Republican perspective. It's so cathartic...

I am a resident of Wisconsin, and I must say, this stuff you are saying about Russ Feingold is slanderous and crass. You should be ashamed.
