Iran will not be allowed to have nuclear weapons and faces "meaningful consequences" if it persists in defying the international community, Vice President Dick Cheney said on Tuesday.
Rumor has it he's taking the Iranian President hunting. Ouch!
FYI - I like Cheney a great deal, so don't take the joke the wrong way. So, we are experincing dejavu all over again, yes? Clearly this is the same template we took with Iraq up until now. One critical item I would point out, this time France and some other allies are talking tougher than we are.
They had better keep it up.

Cheney may never hunt again...:D

Terrorism is already a favoured tactic among the mullah leadership. We would not have hezbullah or hamas were it not for the foresight of the Iranian theocrats. I suppose that just means that oil is their only viable weapon when they threaten to bring da pain. As you said, France has emphasized their nuclear weapons program when it comes to determining a resonse to terrorism. They always were slightly unstable.
On a side/lighter note Andrew of Arabia (http://andrewofarabia.blogspot.com) is good for a laugh every now and then.
