I already linked to the audio for this nonsense, you can access it through here.
Phoning in during the show was Hannity and friend Mark Levin, the latter offering only personal insults for Baldwin.
Hannity, on the other hand, began by grilling the actor on why he apparently refuses to appear on the former's nationally syndicated talk show.
With nastiness on all sides, things quickly went south.
Baldwin responded in a blog entry today at the Huffington Post.
Baldwin is an ass-hat of the first order, having called for the stoning to death of Henry Hyde, along with spewing a lot of other pathetic nonsense along the way. But I don't care about that so much as the embarrassment which was bits and pieces of radio I heard today on WABC.
Apparently Hannity went on all day displaying incredibly poor taste, he and Levin going on like two sophomoric jerks. Levin especially has been an incredible disappointment since taking on a radio show. I had always enjoyed his commentary on judicial issues, but now all he does is rant and weave in sexual innuendo. The guy comes across like the kid who had to keep his towel on in the shower in gym class and now he gets his jollies off just hinting at dirty words.
It's as if neither of those idiots have any appreciation for what makes Limbaugh number one. And neither one comes close to being the next Bob Grant. Hannity must be the only big time talk radio guy without an agent. He doesn't need one - he's always promoting himself. Limbaugh does it, too, sure - but it comes across as a joke, not so with Hannity. If Hannity and Levin are the future of right wing talk, count me out.
As the evening drive time is mostly when I listen - I keep hoping that WABC will have the sense to move up Laura Ingraham and show Levin the door. Make it the back door, seems like he'd get a charge out of that. As for Hannity, I guess people are stuck with him. I'm just glad I'm not usually in the car during the day. I'd have to buy a ton of new CD's just to have enough music to keep it fresh.
When I tune away from WABC to go looking for anything else worth listening to, even vanilla news - it's saying something. And I have done it more than once with Levin and Hannity, too. Unfortunately, I haven't landed on a solid alternate station, yet. I wish I had. These two clowns sound like they enjoy playing with one another in the lockeroom so much, they're now joined at the hip.
But that's America, I guess. Those two can play with each other all they want and put it on the air. But freedom cuts both ways, I don't have to listen in.

Too bad he took being "Baldwin" to being full of bullshit.

Levin added nothing, just hurled childish insults, then crossed a line with the ex-wife comment that finally chased Baldwin. Why did Levin have to ruin it, I can't imagine how he has a radio audience. Baldwin had a point that Hannity had his own show, he clearly didn't want to spar with Hannity, but he finally dove in and Levin F'd it up. Too bad, that could have been some good radio.

Levin is such a punk. He's the kind of guy that got the crap kicked out of him by the normal boys. What kind of guy makes cracks about someone's divorce?
Mark Levin, Ladykiller.

I'm glad you mentioned Bob Grant, because that's who Levin seems to be trying to copy with his "get off my phone..." schtick. Only problem is he doesn't have the chops like Grant had to actually debate any caller who disagrees with him, and instead goes for the schtick and the cutoff button in an instant. Grant only pulled similar rage when he was dealing with bonafide whackos.

As some who drives a lot during the day I listen to a local talk show which is followed by Rush. I enjoy both of them, one is lite and talks up the going's on in local and state issues with some national ones. Then comes Rush, and I laugh at a lot of what he says. As a conservative I agree with much of what he says and when I disagree he makes me smile, not get mad. He is followed by Hannity. There are times when I will be too busy driving to change the channel right away so I listen to him for 5 or 10 minutes. He is truly stupid. How he has a radio and TV show amazes me. There is no there there. He couldn't be dumber. Would someone please explain to me why you listen to him.
thanks
