Obviously, I personally would choose Wal-Mart, but it's fascinating to read excerpts from captured Al Queda documents courtesy of Austin Bay.
Al Qaeda’s by-laws are fascinating. From the By-Laws document summary:
Al-Qa’ida must be prepared to wage jihad anywhere in the world, and not to be distracted by relief and aid operations. Al-Qa’ida must have no relation to the world of idols and secular and nationalist movements. Relations with non-jihadi Islamic groups should be respectful, but dedicated to pointing out their shortcomings and try to gain their support for jihad.
A few quick observations. It strikes me that these documents are dated and it is precisely this type of organizational mentality that we needed to disrupt by going into Afghanistan and later, Iraq. The documents reveal an organization not simply running around mindlessly killing people and blowing things up, but planning for its long-term viability.
In part, the documents also suggest some possible weakness in Al Queda. They are not an altrustic organization, they are despotic in nature. That they would be thinking on, or actually implementing such things as vacations, holidays and sick time suggests not enough people are kicking the doors down to join. Organizations which don't think altrustically offer benefits when they need to attract people because their basic MO is not proving enough.
But they also reveal a real danger in that Al Queda clearly has its mind on recruiting beyond the reach of only the extreme religionist. In essence, the bare bones ruminations we can read here would represent the beginnings of a formal, much larger state Al Queda obviously had in mind for itself circa 2001. I'd guess they are operating more like a rogue start up today - working out of garages and safe houses, as opposed to an entire nation, as was the case in Afghanistan.
Last, before clicking over to read more, think of this. The New York Times is hell bent on attacking organizations like Wal-Mart, but they can't comprehend that an Al Queda is the far more genuinely demonic organization they should be standing up to, as opposed to ignoring, or turning away from insulting out of fear. We can't depend on big media to undertstand and support the need for the Global War On Terror (GWOT.) We must stay on top of events through alternate media and be prepared to support the battle ourselves by staying informed through reading things like this at Austin Bay.
Most troubling is this:
. He writes that he is announcing publicly the next attacks against the Americans, and that groups in America and Europe, which are “above suspicion,” have been given the green light to move.
If you don't think we need at least something akin to the current NSA evesdropping program, think again. Read the rest at AB.

One more hit from them and I suspect we MIGHT get down right pissed off.
As much as I hate to say this, let it happen sooner than later.
I'll tell ya Dan, I wake up every morning fully expecting to see another 9/11.
It'll happen. And when it does - glow-in-the-dark Arabs will be a dime a dozen.
