LEXINGTON, Ky. -- U.S. Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist said yesterday he's gained a "pretty good" comfort level with the deal under which a United Arab Emirates company would take over operations at six U.S. ports.
However, Frist said he wants to "take a pause" for 30 to 45 days so other members of Congress can be briefed.
Real smart move grabbing the headlines with your threat of legislation to stop the deal just days before you became informed enough to support it. Did it ever occur to Frist to learn something of it before leading the opposition and helping to open the door to the Democrats nonsense?
Congratulations on your John Kerry moment, Senator Frist. Do everyone a favor and forget about the Republican nomination. Not only are you a Senator, as opposed to a Governor, but your leadership has been far from, shall we say, stellar.

Trent Lott was a better majority leader in my opinion, too bad Bush sold him out. What is up with Rick Santorum, every time I hear him speak he makes sense, why is he trailing by 16 points, is he too conservative? I noticed Menendez jumped all over the ports deal, smart move, he went from trailing Keane by 3 pts to leading by 7 pts in one poll I saw. Heard Menendez talk on Imus the other day, man couldn't sound more dull if he tried. I'm for John Thune for majority leader, I know he's only been a senator a little over a year but anybody who can send more than half a commie Tom Daschle packing is my kind a dude.

Insanity comes to mind when I think of a transaction like this. Absolute insanity. What the HELL are they thinking. Blood is thicker than water and the powers that be apparently let this slip their minds.

Frist is beginning to live up to his nickname "Limp Frist" again....waffing on this port deal to Islamic Terrorists.
This port deal should be killed...Immediately. If the GOP continues to act like Liberal Globalists and sell out to a STATE RUN terrorist business, I will never waste my vote on the GOP again.
By letting it sit, and not killing it, the DNC gets more airplay w the issue...and more support. Just beginning to wonder who is really committed to stopping terrorism
