The only real issue is why did Barney Fife take until the next morning to investigate? I know he's VP and all, but that just ain't kosher. In my state, the investigation would have started immedietely with a breathalizer and the confiscation of the firearm.

Poop. The only issue is that there is no issue.
I'm sure Aint Bea told Barney to let it be..doncha kno. Andy was already out at the scene, and he'd have detected if the VP was hammered. Boo hoo.

Fish and Game did not investigate until the next morning, although they were told the previous night. I can't imagine that is protocol...I guess maybe in Texas. The breathalizer and confiscation would have been automatic mandatory elements of the investigation.
