Great Point Dan!!

And Rush was banished for his "racist" remarks about a certain has been black quarterback.

Hey Dan, what about "Cool Running"? Oh right, that was a movie.

OH GOD.

High fives to you, Dan, for losing the PC speak. !!

Oh, thank you thank you.

Damn. You made my day.

Stpidity is a commodity, given out in greatv abundance, by God.

That said, Gumbel obviously has been doubly blessed.

From California: I love the smell of NON PC air in the morning !!!!!!!!

"You people don't do cold ... or swimming"

Not sure who you are talking about here, but if you are talking about African Americans, I guess you don't know who helps pick up your trash, shovel your snow, run your commuter trains, etc. etc.; this isn't un PC, it is simply inaccurate.

From New York: Don't hate the player, hate the game. And the game is about to sell U.S. ports to a UAE run operation. Meanwhile, here we are, hating on Bryant Gumbel... Only in America...

"And Rush was banished for his "racist" remarks about a certain has been black quarterback."

As it happens, I attended my local NFL franchise's home opener last year and amazingly the NFL kickoff performance featured non-other than Kanye West

Do you think Bryant Gumble has rhythm?

CJ and others:

Shortly after the words spoken by Rush on ESPN, he received a phone call at his personal estate/broadcast mansion. I have no reason whatsoever to not believe the content of the conversation.

To Rush's amazement it was the classy Donavon McNabb; Rush scurried to the phone and started with an apology to Donavon. "Not necessary!" states McNabb on the other end. He further explained that he'd seen the show and found nothing at all offensive in what Rush said.

The kicker: McNabb explained to Rush that he'd received more offers for endorsements, commercials, and other sundries as a result of Rush's statement and---get this---asked Rush if he'd entertain perhaps replacing McNabb's agent. All in good candor.

Gumble is of the worst sort. Remember the 33 brand spankin' new Brioni or Armani suits he had to have when doing the Seoul Olympics...one for each day on the air? This chump is a meglomanic, just like Simpson. Yea, I say, Gumble couldn't possibly share the mic with either Connie Chung or Katie (turned BITCH) Curic. He, just like every black I know, is racist.

"Do you think Bryant Gumble has rhythm?"
I think it is really sad that it all boils down to us and them. I guess I should respond in like manner, which would make me racist... Oh, I forgot, I'm part black, so I'm probably already a racist in the eyes of some. Thanks for the heads up, Paulo.

Meanwhile, it does appear that a Mr. Davis from Chicago's South Side has a gold medal FWIW.
I've thought about the prison break reference concerning basketball.

Above all, basketball is business... In the entertainment industry. I found an interesting article on the ABA, its game flow, and how the development of flashy dunks impacted the NBA. Many other people are making money off of this "prison break" concept, yet they are not held to any kind of corporate responsibility...

Look, I just blew a paragraph break, apologies. I am going to blame it on my incapacity to function normally in cold weather. Same thing with any typos; it is far too cold today for me to scroll back up and check to see if there were/are any.

If I were in the Bahamas right now, this would not be happening.

The closet racist in every narrow minded dittomonkey comes out...."You People". Real good stuff there.

White guys will never change. "You people!" How racist is that quote? Until whites learn to not hold an entire race accountable for the words or actions of one man in this country, we as Americans will never get over this race problem.

Blacks, Hispanics, Asians and others do not hold all whites accountable for Rush, Bill O'reilly, Shawn Hannity and the other right wing idiots when they speak their racist thoughts. Unless you as a White person share their thoughts. And from reading these post, I see that a lot of you do.

I think it is unfair and in poor taste For Bryant Gumble To rant about his racist views. He should be canned. Jimmy the Greek was canned For saying less.
