Update: Hoping for an English translation on the video, which is up at the VDS blog. PM, if you're reading, email with the Km number. Thanks.
It's being reported that Joran Van Der Sloot told a Dutch interviewer that Satish Kalpoe picked him up after Joran left Natalee Holloway alone on a beach in Aruba. This isn't a version previously heard in the media.
I'm told that video may be available later.
Update: Joran has dropped a bombshell saying Satish picked him up after he left Natalee on the beach. He also claims he was roughed up by custom officials at JFK. Details and clip coming soon..
Update: From Dutch TV (program NOVA):
"Joran said he got served on the plane and after being held by customs for 3 hours
they were finally let into the country where another group of very abusive and violent people associated with the Law-firm/process serving waited for them. One of the people sent to pick up Joran was pushed to the floor by these foulmouth/abusive proces-servers."

Another enhancement to the timeline? I hope to see this documented. Interesting. JMHO

And, here we go again. More lies from the last person known to be seen alive with Natalee? No surprise there.

how will anyone ever know which version is true?

Ho ho, this is not correct; he said the older brother Deepak picked him up. You people have to get a life, bunch of loonies... I have seen the interview and you did not and the rumouring 'Joran van der Sloot blog'did certainly not. What is going on is a disinformation campaign to discredit the Van der Sloots. You are a bunch of eggheads with no brains and certainly no feeling. Get lost!!!!

This is what he said in his other interview:
Joran van der Sloot: Uh... I told her I had to go home. I had school the next day, and I thought, maybe she'd understand. She told me, "No,." she wanted me to stay there with her. Because, the next day she was leaving. She wanted to stay there the whole night. I told her, "No," I had to go. I even lifted her up to carry her back to her hotel. And she told me, put her down.I left her there. I sat down and I started talking to her for a while. And I called Deepak, to ask him if he could come and pick me up, which Deepak didn’t do. but…

Joran also said he walked home from the beach.I have walked that same road to his house. Forty five min.walk.By the time he told this story all the bank and store camera's tapes had been erased.

"Aruban detectives have repeatedly interviewed witnesses in an effort to establish that time line. It's been widely reported, for instance, that Joran returned to his home that morning around four. In fact, Dompig says, "nobody knows what time he got home." Nor is it clear how he got there. "He says he walked," Dompig continues, a distance of about two miles. "That is very unlikely."

I am not surprised that Joran is telling yet another lie. I wonder if Satish knows he picked Joran up that morning.

Actually this is not news. This was in the statements of the three a long time ago, when they were first arrested, it was just not released to the public, along with a great deal of informtion. This is in the police statements made by the brothers, they came clean on everything. Joran is only saying publically what the police have known since the beginning about Satish picking him up. Just because you all got the idea from the cable news networks that Satish claimed to be sleeping did not make it so. and so, it could not have been Satish on the computer chatting. It is actually Satish and Joran that were the close friends, not Deepak so much, which makes more sense, as Satish and Joran are closer in age, no?
Perhaps you will all now wake up to how much information the police have that you don't, all of you that think you know everything about this case. There's lots more where that came from. over 300 pages worth.

Dutch article today:
Chief Dompig is certain that Holloway died during the trip with these three and afterwards was buried. He believes they were aided by others. As a result of the depositions the police force starts within two weeks with bloodhounds from the Netherlands and earlier not yet used ground radar equipment a search operation in the area where Holloway was last seen. The police force expects at the grave of Holloway to also find the tennis shoes of Joran. He has explained during interrogation that he left his shoes behind and walked home.

danny, by now you sound silly.
Definitely the Aruban police nor Aruban officials will even try to cover up anything.
Maybe, just maybe the only thing you can blame the Aruban police is that they started the investigation in a sloppy and unprofessional way.

Dompig did give some conflicting reports, in my opinion. I think he was all about closing the case quickly and J2K were it as far as he was concerned.I prefer to hear the info the detectives have in the reports.

Tell us wreck, have Aruba law enforcement placed armed guards @ the 'likely' grave site? Is this grave site a new discovery? Need a translation...Its confirmed the VDS left NY ... are they going back to Aruba to do more damage control? I would think if there were any tip of a grave site, the Aruba authorities, FBI would already be digging...what a mess!

Beats me! I don't think we have heard a bit of truth from anyone in Aruba.
All I hear is some "big" tip that will solve the case come about every two weeks or so when some breaking news in the U.S. happens. Not a one of their spokespersons or those who purport to be "in the know" have spoken the truth. IMO

Isn't it ironic that the perpetrators of the coverup and their minions speak out of both sides of their mouth. On one hand, they pretend that the prosecution and police files are confidential under Aruban/Dutch law and that sharing any of the information with the family our their reps would do irreparable harm to any future prosecution. On the other hand, certain lying spindoctoring weasels pretend to have access to information that no one else in the MSM does. There is nothing that Promes Van Doorne knows that Chadbourne & Parke doesn't. And if any journalist wants to pretend that they have more access to the police and prosecution files than the legal representatives of the family, I would guess that they can expect to be deposed. This lawsuit isn't about money or a default judgement, it is about information. The US justice system isn't a kangaroo court and all relevant information regarding this case will be revealed in depostions. Perjury is the hammer that the plaintiff attorneys will be carrying.

Let me put an end to this right now. This case will be dismissed immediately upon motion of the defense attorneys on the basis of subject matter jurisdiction. The controlling law is the 1945 landmark United States Supreme Court decision in International Shoe v. Washington. The Supreme Court ruled that the defendants must have certain "minimal contacts" with the jurisdiction in which suit is brought (New York in this case) beyond simply travelling there or being served there. In order to avoid this case being thrown out of court before a single witness is even DEPOSED, much less the trial having begun, the plaintiff's lawyers are going to have to somehow connect New York City with the disappearance of Natalee Holloway, such as if the body was dumped in the city or she was kidnapped and brought to New York. In my opinion, it is not going to happen, and the only significance of this case is to bring more political and media attention on this matter. Once again, if you are pretty and rich, the media will love you, and you can do anything in this country. For Shame.

Weasel VanderStraten...the previous ALE commissioner...inital interview with FOXNEWs, stating 'I know what's going on.' Makes one wonder if Aruban gov't officials silenced the idiot ...

Bryan, perhaps the case filed in the state trial court in NY could be "removed" to a Federal Disrict Court because of diversity of citizenship, and under the application of "forum non conveniens" could wind up in a Federal District Court in Alabama for the convenience of the plaintiffs. The defendants travelled to NYC, not as tourists, but in furtherance of their position in the matter at hand by appearing on television interviews expressing an opinion on the subject matter of her disappearance. No, they did not travel there to be served and were not passing through on vacation either. Just an thought and opinion.
