Everybody Look
Michelle Malkin has a video I would encourage all to see - First they came for ...
It depicts the history of violence and suppression radical Islam has already engaged in. The current violent, criminal behavior over the cartoon issue is not new. It is simply a more massive display of the previous tactics of an ideology steeped in intolerance and lacking any respect for others.
Michelle's video inspired me to make one of my own taking a similar approach to the history of terrorism we have seen since 9/11, while also highlighting some of the internal political challenges we currently face in dealing effectively with radical Islam.
It is a high resolution video with sound track best viewed in full screen mode. America must wake up and see radical Islam for the true danger it represents to civilized countries throughout the world. Failure to recognize that danger and deal with it now will only increase the danger from it, as well as leave our children with a war which, at some point in the future, they may not be able to win.
We can win today. We will win today if we stay the course. And we must win. But to do that, Everyone must look squarely and candidly at the evil we face. So, ... Everyone look.
And remember to see Michelle's video, as well.

Dan, I bet Stephen Stills didn't have anything like that on his mind when he wrote that song!

Came from Jawa . . .video is very touching. Love the choice of music too. Surprised it didn't include the images of muslims celebrating the carnage of 9/11.

Dan. Thank you. I hope this helps people wake up and realize what it is we are fighting for. The threat is real and it is happening right under our noses.
It sickens me to hear people in this country denigrate the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers and fellow countrymen. It angers me to see and hear the loyal opposition tear down this country in order to satisfy their personal lust for power. Like this is all some kind of game or something.
Like 9/11 never happened.
Unfortunately, people just don't seem to get it.
It's like the 1930's all over again and it frightens me.

Chilling!!!!
I wish both of those videos could run on every television commerial break. If you had told me on Sept. 12, 2001 that Americans would forget about the previous day's events, I would never have believed it.

Whether we stay or go...I think our good intentions should count for something. If the outcome is not in our best interest....AT LEAST WE TRIED, much more than alot of other countries can say.......

"It is self-preservation--if we leave, they come after us."
However, if we are to stay - what's not to say that anything is actually going to get any better? I highly doubt that any form of Democracy or political reform is actually going to stick because all they have ever known in the Middle East is war. (Remeber, it's going to have to be the *people* that are going to have to make the decision, take a stand, and make a move in the right direction.) Also - what's not to say that if we continue to stay over there and fight, that their not going to continue to kill our troops anyway, and still attempt to carry out terroistic acts on our ground? It's almost a no-win situation!

Dan, I'm glad you and Michelle have talked about this. We can win now, decisively like you said. But there is not widespread support for such actions on Bush's part. Nevertheless, I hope he steps up to the plate before he is out of office and cleans house.
Wake up Sheehans of the world. We will ALWAYS have to have a presence in the Middle East, and it is not peacekeeping for the sake of the inhabitant's of those lands. It is self-preservation--if we leave, they come after us. They have already shown us they will, why would anyone believe it would be different now? I say invade Iran and Pakistan now--it's an inevitability in any event.
