It seems Neil Entwistle was doing Internet research on killing and suicide prior to the murders of Rahclel and Lilly. And Steve Huff has more on Neil Entwistles alleged business dealings in the porn and skin industries.
BOSTON (AP) -- A man charged with murdering his wife and baby daughter searched the Internet for ways to kill people and methods of committing suicide in the days before the slayings, authorities said.
He also trolled the Internet looking for escort services and Web sites that offer help finding sexual partners, according to search warrant documents released Monday.
just sickening - I happened upon nancy grace on tv a while ago and she was saying it appeared baby lillian had been beaten also - as if what already happened is not horrible enough - what the hell is wrong with people? get a divorce for god's sake - you don't murder your wife and a 9 month old baby.....I just don't freaking understand what the hell is in these peoples heads to do these things......good luck - maybe you will get a seat next to scott peterson

IMO, this guy is even worse than Scott Peterson. If he beat the baby before shooting her, I hope they hang him in jail.
I also don't understand what gets into these kinds of "people," and I use that word loosely. I don't know how anyone can look at his baby and shoot her, and maybe beat her as well.
This guy is pure trash. His father and mother should have kicked his ass out of the house and took him to the police station themselves. It doesn't say much for them as people for protecting him for as long as they did. What could Neil have possibly said to them to make them feel sorry for him and think he needed sympathy for shooting his own baby.
I also have to say that Rachel's parents were pretty stupid if they really believed Neil was a secret agent. First of all, secret agents don't go around telling people they are secret agents. Hence the word "secret."

I don't think the parents believed one word he said, but kept quiet since he was Rachel's husband (her knight in shining armor). I also think that's why they moved into their own home without having jobs or a source of income. Her parents were probably seeing the true Neil, or at least shades of his true self. Rachels mother also made the comment that he paid for everything on credit.
I hope that the baby was hurt in some other way (i.e. a fall), and was not beaten. How sad and sick is that, to beat a defenseless baby? Then again, his seeking sex from outside the home, I have a feeling that he was jealous of the attention the baby was getting, that he used to get from Rachel.
There is definitely some disfunction in Neil's family. His mother is the one that rules the roost. They were not allowed to have friends over to their house when growing up. It's my suspicion that he had a love/hate relationship with his mother. He loved her, because she demanded it, but he hated her because he could never live up to her expectations of him. He replaced his mother with Rachel, and when he felt he couldn't live up to Rachel's expectations of him (or that his facade was falling apart), he did away with her. Just my opinions/thoughts on the matter, no real basis in fact.

I believe Lillian's injuries were described as a contusion to the side of her head as well as mucous and blood in her nostrils. I personally, would not characterize that as "a beating". However, any blow to a baby by an adult is heinous.
NE searched certain keywords, one of which was "suicide". I tend to concur with some of the TH's who suggested this was probably not so much for killing himself, but to make it appear that Rachel had committed suicide. These types don't often kill themselves, egocentricity and cowardice prevents such an act.

This guy's an ass. Say he was "broke", why rent a house that was so stinking expensive. Why move outside of Boston for crying out loud? Sell the Beamer, get a freaking job and stop looking and perhaps paying for escorts. Get a divorce if you're so freaking unhappy. He found them dead? Did not call 911? Ran off to London

Maybe Neil and Rachel got into a huge fight and Lillian was in the middle of it? That may have been how she got hit. Maybe they were planning on getting a divorce and fighting over the baby? Could have been a reason that Neil would kill them...Seems like he could have shot them in the house and then put them in the bed to cover it all up? Just some thoughts about how it could have happened...I sure wish we could know the real story...I am getting sick of speculating about it.

i used to know Rachel as my teacher at school and i can say now, she would not have had a fight with her husband and let her baby get in the way. She lived for her baby! it is so obvious he killed them and he should be punished for it, lets just hope he does go down for it and gets a beating for it every day for the rest of his life!! he is no man, not to have hurt and killed a defenceless baby and woman!
