Scotland Yard is investigating extremists who protested against Muslim cartoons over the last week. And it has emerged the man who sparked fury by dressing as a suicide bomber during the London protests has served a jail sentence for dealing cocaine.
Omar Khayam, 22, was sentenced to six years behind bars in 2002 for possessing the drug with intent to supply, according to newspaper reports.
He was released on parole last year after serving half of his sentence - but he is still on licence and could be taken back to jail if he breaches his conditions.
Yesterday, the student from Bedford apologised "wholeheartedly" for his behaviour on the weekend, saying it was "wrong, unjustified and insensitive" to protest dressed a suicide bomber.
Never ceases to amaze me. Some people's heads just are not screwed on straight.

Seriously - somebody clue me in please?? They LEAVE Arabia (pick your country) and enter into Western Civilization (pick your country) - and THEN they go balistic when Western ways don't suit their Arab sensitivities.
If they CAN"T take a cartoon - then go back to Sharia-land and STAY THERE.

When the planes hit the towers my first thought was it has to be about drugs. This religion and others can get one so worked up as if you are on drugs.
