It seems earlier reports that Neil Entwistle would cooperate in the investigation into the murders of Rachel and Lillian Entwistle were either premature, or incorrect. New reports suggest he is stone walling.
Additionally, the fmaily of Rachel and Lillian Entwistle have released a statement.
Neil Entwistle, for a second day in a row, rebuffed requests for interviews from detectives who traveled to London to talk with him, a source close to the case said.
Entwistle, who grew up several hours from London, had also bailed out Friday on a pledge to meet the detectives, the source said. The U.S. Embassy in London had initially confirmed that the meeting took place -- but reversed itself yesterday.

Uzzie, there are a few other questions you could help me with. The attorneys who are representing Neil in England, are they what we would call in the U.S. "public defenders". Paid for their services to Neil with public funds? I am sure once he is back in Mass. that he will be offered the services of a public defender and more than likely he will also be offered the services of attorneys wishing to capitalize on the publicity that this case is generating. There will also be book and movie deals that the private attorney will capitalize on. Is there a better British website than "The Nottingham News" or another local paper that is reporting on this story? Early on, the British press was trashing Rachel--is that still happening? I have not seen any British reports referring to the baby as a British citizen, have you? Thanks in advance

Hi there
erm, the only paper i could tell you to search for is the worksop guardian. This is the local paper www.worksopguardian.co.uk. To be honest nothing much is getting mentioned over here thats why i searched the net to see what was being said in the U.S.
Sorry i have no idea who are representing Neil over here..
I have never seen anything trashing Rachel? The only articles in press i have seen have been sympathetic to both Lillian and Rachel also to Rachels family? The thing the papers over here have been saying are Neil Entwistle, his baby daughter and American wife? cant recall seeing Lillian as British citizen for American? Hope that helps...sorry, as i said nothing is being mentioned much over here.

Neil was led off a U.S. Government plane today at 2235GMT. He was in leg chains and handcuffed to a waist chain. He has an attorney assigned to his case who was appointed by the court. It was stated that he and his family cannot afford to hire an attorney. The attorney's name is Elliot M. Weinstein. According to Weinstein's website, 95% of his time is in litigation. The feeding frenzy of the news sharks has picked up. His attorney has expressed doubt that Neil will be able to get a fair trial because of the publicity.

Would someone please answer for me a nagging question? If NW killed them in their bed (murder-suicide plan) as authorities are saying, then why was there very little blood in the bed? I was nicked in the head with a bottle years ago, and also have experienced my little boys getting small cuts in the head, needing 1 or 2 stitches, and the cuts bled profusely, any cut to the head does that. So, why so little blood in the bed that police first thought that they had died of carbon monoxide poisoning? I think that they may have been killed somewhere else. And, does a small caliber bullet, like a 22, kill immediately?

Yes, a 22 caliber bullet in the brain can cause immediate death. The baby was shot in the torso and according to reports the bullet exited the baby's body and entered the mother's body. The exit wound on the baby would likely bleed the most if the trauma to it's body did not kill immediately. This is especially true if the bullet was a hollow point which expands upon impact and causes larger exit wounds. As a hunter I can tell you that the absence of external bleeding is typical in quick kills. If the baby was not killed immediately there would be extensive damage in such a small compact body internally, where most bleeding would occur as long as the heart was pumping. Did Neil take the time and effort to place the baby's body in relation to the mother's body so the bullet holes would line up after they were shot in some other location--what would be the point of him doing that? In closing, the cuts that you and yours received were not lethal, as is evident, and your heart continued pumping blood out of the numerous small blood vessels that were severed until the bleeding was stopped by clotting or compression or tourniquet (which I would not advise in a head wound).
