ok guys;
here's another we should try to investigate ourselfes and put time in this as we have Natalee's case.

this case has my dander standing on end.
this guy isn't talking... W H Y !!!...
i'll look into his background if some want to help...ok?

respectfully,
afmomx3

I'll bet you dollars to donuts he didn't do it. But that he screwed over someone who took it out on the wife and child. Dad is probably afraid to talk. Looks like he got greedy and lazy and tangled with some real bad people.

It sounds like her family thinks he had something to do with this cause they have not mentioned him at all. Beautiful baby such a fun an adorable age. It makes one want to scream cause it just dosen't make sense.

this guy isn't talking... W H Y !!!...

I do hope you are kidding. For anyone to talk to authorities without first talking with a lawyer is pure stupidity. Innocent or guilty they also have rights to be protected.

Cindi..don't get histerical now. Calm down.
Was Oj guilty ?

sorry, cindy...didn't meN TO OFFEND...
DO YOU THINK POSSIBLE THAT...
ooooopppsss...ssooorryy about the caps..anyway
maybe the reason he isn't talking is because he knows possible things that would put him in the red flag part of le? ...
if he was sooo innocent, why not just say so.. why now since theyfound him or whatever,,, he can't talk now...
geezzzz where have i heard that before...

Josh, you would wet your pants if I became hysterical. The jury came in on OJ. That's the way our judicial system works. Who knows, you may need the same rights some day.

Posted by: afmomx3 | Monday, January 30, 2006 at 12:59 AM

Point is, regardless of our emotions people are still protected under the law. If you had experience with law you would know the last thing you do without representation is talk to law enforcement. After all, we do not live within a ideal justice system.

If you know anything about law cindi then you would tell us your true feelings and quit taking up for the damn criminals. You may very well need the prosecution to be on your side one day in a fmaily matter. Get a grip. Bet you also think Scott Peterson was innocent too.
You, me and everyone else knows that OJ killed those folks. The police dept. screwed it up that all. Mistakes happen. Our system of justice is not flawless.

i can't help but compare his behavior to people like the dad in florida and the dad in idaho (for example), whose kids where taken from their homes. those dads jumped right in, took lie detector tests, etc. they were so grief stricken, i don't think they even cared what happened to themselves. they got cleared early so the investigation could go on. they wanted to find their kids. of course, we don't know yet, but this dude looks guilty as hell.

Oh please....Mr. Ent has pretty much said everything by NOT talking. If he is so innocent he should tell what he knows to the authorities without blinking! He is NOT TALKING! Its the love of your life and your only child! The Boston police and the DA already know much more than they are releasing to the general public...you can bet on it. And if he is innocent, nothing, I mean absolutely nothing would stop me from returning home to be with my wife and child on the last days I would ever see them again. So innocent....I think not. By the way, she did not shoot herself and her beloved child. It is called murder.

Kim- Good point.

Let's see, would I work with and cooperate with law enforcement to find out who did this to my wife an child, you betcha, and what we keep me from cooperating? Even if there is someone after me and I did some illegal crap, now is the time to tell, you'll get alot more help now. Of course you need a lawyer, its a given, but come on some one killed your wife and child, man. Unless of course.......

If you know anything about law cindi then you would tell us your true feelings and quit taking up for the damn criminals.

Josh get your hand out of your pants. My statement did not side with criminals. It simply stated fact. We have a justice system. We do not find guilt nor innocence based on our emotions or how one responds after a tragic event as in this case. Again, like it or not we are all entitled to be represented. Fact remains Joshie, even alleged criminals have rights that need protection.

If getting lawyered up and refusing to talk means you are guilty, then anyone thinking like that should read about the parents in the Jon Benet case, and they got out of town, fast. Who is going to say that 'they must have done it' on the strength of what they did?

Entwistle's actions are pretty wierd. I would think that if someone murdered his wife and baby daughter as a result of something he did (bad business deals, ripping people off, bad drug deal, etc.), he would be frightened, but would start talking to authorities, if only to get protection and to save his own life. The fact that he left the United States, won't talk to police, and is not attending the funerals is VERY telling. Most people would not react that way if they are innocent. My vote right now is that he did it. It will be interesting to see what happens.

It is an interesting case. What I find strange is that Rachel and Lilly were wrapped in blankets. If this was a "hit" the killer would not have taken that "special care" of them. To me, that points to someone that "loved" and cared for these two. It is almost as if they were tucked into bed... I say this because of the house having been searched, and the police not finding them in the bed, I don't know what the scene actually looked like.

Questions regarding gunshots and bleeding:

Does anyone know how much blood two gunshot wounds would produce? Especially one to the head and one to the abdomen? Early reports stated there was very little blood.

Cindi you are an idiot. Thats apparent.

I have a question about this case. I have read several times that there was a "wellness check" on Saturday, January 21 at which time the police did not find anything amiss. There seems to be a question of whether or not they actually checked the blankets on the bed. Then, they came back Sunday, January 22 and found the bodies. But I also read the house was fully secured and locked when they found the bodies and there was no sign of a break in. So I'm wondering, how did the police get in on Saturday and fully secure the house again? And did they check the bedroom for the bodies or not?

It seems like the next door neighbour also got into the house at some time so as to let the dog out?? And the the guests for the dinnerparty turned up and they got in?? If this is true, and all these people were managing to get into the house, then the place does not seem to have been very secure.

Scott- From my understanding of the stories, a "well-being" check was simply a walk-through. They are not to open closets or search anything. It is simply a walk-through for any obvious signs of distress. It was the friends and family who were to attend the dinner party who called the police (someone correct me if I'm confused), and it was the neighbor who let them (police and family) in using the garage door code. So, doors were secure.

Scott- Also, they did check the bedroom, but did not touch the bed. They noted the bed to be unmade. Someone even stated in one article that the comforters and bedclothes were very fluffy. Probably a lot like a down comforter looks with a nice duvet. According to photos I saw, Rachel was a little thick, but she was short and petite.

If a neighbour had the garage door code, it was not secure. How many other people knew the code? Also, there are keys that can open doors. I once did not answer my door when the bell was rung twice because I thought it was Jehovah's Witnesses, and the next thing I knew I had a burglar quietly coming into the room, and another had gone upstairs. They had not broken in, they had used a key, and they had been in lots more houses that day, as most people had been at work. If I had not been there and seen it I would not have even known, until it came to my looking for a certain ring of mine that I discovered later had been taken by the guy who went upstairs.

Josh...ditto. Thank you for saying what many are thinking.

Many of the early news reports say there was very little blood. This may suggest a few things that might cause that. What was the temp of the house? It was snowing out so was the house cold or quite warm? Also, if they were drugged. The coroner has not released the autopsy as yet. Tox tests usually take a week. Some drugs slow blood flow. Then there is this.....if they were killed by some other means, then shot. Blood is almost non existant from a wound AFTER death. I still believe that he did it. He ran to his parents house and is hiding out....but that wont last forever. I do not believe any of the trash about a "hit". Thats just BS. He murdered them. I say...."come forward" and tell the authorities what you know. He wont until he is indicted. "Guilty, guilty, guilty".

Hi All.

Does anyone know to a website where you can leave your condolences for Rachel's family. Her Mom, stepfather, etc. No one has set up a page as i can see so that people can leave tributes to the family of the late Rachel and Lillian Entwistle. If anyone does know to a website please leave the link for us to write our condolences. .....Thanks.

Anyone who thinks he is not guilty is CRAZY!
No. 1, if a person found their spouse and baby dead, you wouldn't leave the country-you would call authorities! If they were still alive & he was leaving the country wouldn't she keep the car???? His not returning or lack of concern to help find the so called killers is very telling. Maybe he will "spend the rest of his life looking for the killers" like OJ? Ha! Another thing -if someone else did it why did he get away and why would they kill an innocent baby instead? One of my theories is that it is possible he was going to commit a homicide-suicide and chickened out-how could he live with himself knowing he killed that sweet baby girl?

Was talking to my husband who is a gun enthusiest, and he stated that a wound from a .22 pistol (or did he say revolver? whatever...) would be less likely to produce an exit wound. He said the bullet goes in and bounces around. No Exit wound= less blood.

There are so many contradictory reports going on in the news regarding this case, like saying Neil had refused to talk to the police, yet I saw on the news here in UK, he was in the back of a car and being driven away, and they were reporting that he was going for questioning. Just because he has not returned yet, most people are assuming that he must be guilty, yet let's be honest, all those defence attorneys like Greta and Co, if he were their client would be advising him, 'say nothing, don't go back'. They are such hypocrites!

Hi Annie.
Well I entirely agree with you in what you are saying. As what they say in the UK A man is innocent until proven guilty. I heard on the news and read in the newspapers in the UK that Neil Entwistle did not resist in going to London nor did he refuse give answers to the questions the USA police was asking Neil Entwistle.
There are too many people assuming about this case. If he is found to be guilty of the murder of his wife Rachel and her daughter Lillian then he is an EVIL, WICKED PERSON. And he deserves what he has got coming to him if he is the MURDERER of his family.

Hello Tony
Yes, if he has done this, then that is true, but the big question is WHY? Why do something so extreme, what prevented him from just walking away? If he did not do it, is it possible he told his wife he was leaving her and she killed herself and the baby, and someone came and found them, and the gun and perhaps a note, before the police were called, and did not hand them over. I hope they are able to rule that out completely, before they look for anybody else.

There is NO way Rachel had anything to do with this!!! She would have done anything for that beautiful child! My thought is that she found out about his internet dealings just after Christmas and made him stop. That is when most of the negative ebay remarks began coming in. Something must've made him snap and he lost it. Like the previous posts say, why did he take the car to the airport? That was their only vehicle. There were no plans whatsoever for him to back to England, they had planned a housewarming party for god's sake! I just know in my heart that he is guilty, and I hope that he rots in jail.

Krista... my thoughts exactly except......rot in hell.

Hi People.

Well what can we say? He has NOT attended the funeral of his late wife and his daughter Lillian. He has left for a few days to a secret hideout in the UK. It will now make people more suspicious of this Evil, Dispicable CRIME.

Rest In Peace Rachel and Baby Lillian.
No one can hurt you no more

May Racheal and Lillan Enwistle rest in hevan with my
Father Nicholas Joesph Lapicola !
Neil Enwistle should get captial murder on Lillan and
Racheal Enwistle for killing !
One count of 1st degree Manslaughter for the babygirl
Lillan enwhistle and second degree manslaughter for the wife and mother of Lillan Enwistle on Neil Enwistle for killing both his wife and his baby daughter Lillan Enwistle at 9 mouth old !

Thank god for all of you who believe this guy is guilty. His actions prove nothing but guilt. It makes me sick there are those out there who think there is a possability he is innocent. Like Scott Peterson I hope he is brought to justice. Seriously, what is wrong w/ these husbands. How can they kill they're wives and child like they are nothing. I hope his actions prove guilt to those who will prosecute him and I hope the detectives close this case so the family of Rachel and Lillian can rest in peace. I agree he deserves to rot...wherever he may end up!

Did Neil purchase a one-way ticket? Did he clean out the bank accounts? What was the reason for the trip? Is there a record of either of the Entwistles purchasing a gun? When did he tell his parents of his visit? Are there any phone records showing he called them before leaving the U.S.? Will forensics be able to determine a time of death? Can the British police investigate the murder of a British citizen in another country? Is pressure being put on Neil's parents to provide information? Are the Brits protecting him by inaction? Is there a computer(s) in Neil's Mass. home? If so, have relevant files been deleted or will they show a search for flight info or an email to his parents? Did he take his computer with him to England? If so, will the police ask for a search warrant for the computer? How convincing will the evidence against Neil have to be before the British courts will approve his extradition to Massachusetts? This is just a few of the questions that will be answered in time and do not require Neil to say a word.

I think that it seems obvious that he is GUILTY. I understand that he has not yet been found guilty in a court of law and should be presumed innocent. BUT, think about it... If your spouse and child had been murdered wouldn't you return immediately to your home? If you were innocent wouldn't you speak with authorities to find out who committed such a horrible act? Wouldn't you attend the funeral/memorial service? How many husbands/wives would take the only family car and leave it at the airport (leaving a wife and young baby at home without transport). My heart breaks for Rachel and Lillians families.

the guy did it@!!!!!!!!! DUH!!!! he was leading a double life. he had a weird website of sex and gambling and was in debt and was actually kind of a weirdo. his wife found out about it and was going to leave him or rat him out and he panicked and shot her and the baby. what stranger is going to do taht or even an enemy of his? they're going to go after him, not a baby. HE DID IT and fled to England and the authorities knew he'd then go to europe where'd they'd never be able to get him. like the lori ?? whose husband killed her after she found out he wasn't in medical school, this guy did the same thing and he's an ass and that beautiful beautiful baby should not have died. that's tragic. and the poor woman and her family. they must be absolutely devastated. i hate these assholes who cannot just say they messed up but have to do something like that and ruin everyone's life.

Slow down guys, remember " INNOCENT " until proben guilty?

I hope they don't probe em.

They arrested him today!!! For those of you making excuses why he couldn't have done it, guess again! They have linked him to the murder weapon. I can't believe there was doubt that he murdered them.

This site is not a court of law, but a court of public opinion. So to the Karens of this world, who don't have an opinion, why do you bother to post? Are you incapable of reasoning for yourself? No reasonable adult would have thought him innocent. The possibility of that was less than 1 in 10,000. Let's hope that if there is a trial one or more Karens isn't on the jury. Of course if the Karens are speaking without the benefit of life experiences, such as teenagers, then I suggest you wait a while before you post in an adult forum.

As Bobby Presley said, this is an opinion page, not a court of law or jury of his peers. His actions do not show a man who is shocked that his wife and child were killed in his absence, but that of a man fleeing from responsibility. I can only hope that the killing of Lillian was accidential, but in my heart I believe he meant for her to die, too, to rid himself of the "burdens." How sad that anyone would consider that way "out." If that's what happened . . . he was "cleaning house," there is no punishment that would be equal to the crime. The only good news is that he's returning to the United States without a long extradiction fight that would end up with his return anyway, only with a lot more heartache for Rachel and Lillian's families, as well as his own.

Hi there

I went to school with Neil, lived on the same street as him as we were growing up. Although he never mixed with the other kids on the street he had his own friends etc. I honestly can not believe that he could do such a thing to kill such a gorgeous little girl and his wife. Having heard all the comments in the press i do believe that he was involved in some very nasty things on the internet and he knows what sick person did this. Cant understand why anyone would do that then run back to their parents house knowing thats the first place police would look? Time will tell!

Uzzie, running away is not the act of an innocent person. Have you not read the evidence against this coward? EVERY murderer grew up somewhere. The fact that you can't imagine him doing this only gives evidence to your sanity, not his. The average, normal person cannot understand the mind of such a murderer. Which is good. If we understood, we might all be capable of the same thing. Too bad you don't have more to offer as to his childhood, having lived so close to him. By the way, what's with the Uzzie 911 handle?

Bobby, i can see what you're saying about running not being the act of someone who is innocent but then again who knows what shock does in situations like this? Until this is proven i still think he has a very shady past and that this is a result of whatever he was involved in. Why would i want to offer anything else about his childhood? That has nothing to do with what he has/hasnt done now!

Well, Uzzie, of all the people who have commented on this site, only you have first hand knowledge of Neil. At least that is what you said. Anything you know about him and his family could be of interest. Are you concerned with remaining anonymous? Are you pulling my leg about knowing Neil? Are you a close relative or friend of Neil trying to see if a conspiracy theory will float? Are you Neil? OOH, wouldn't that be neat.
Do you believe the police when they reported that Rachel's DNA was found on the muzzle end of the gun used to kill her and that Neil's DNA was found on the grip of the gun used to kill Rachel and Lillian? Do you believe Neil's statement putting him at Rachel's parent's house-- where the gun was recovered--AFTER the murder? Do you accept that ballistics tests were able to identify the gun was the murder weapon? Do you believe Neil's statement that after he saw the two murder victims he went to the kitchen to get a steak knife to use to commit suicide? He didn't say he checked the house to see if the murderer was still there or that he was afraid. Could it be that he made up the knife story and was able to return the murder weapon without being seen?
Probably millions of people every year get flim flammed on the net as well other scams. I don't know of any of these victims killing the family of the person who scammed them. Keep in mind that Neil's scams were small potatoes.

Wow questions there eh?? As i said in my previous email i wasnt close to him as he had his own friends (we used to be brats playing ball games on the street) and he wasnt the type to join in with us..he was in the year below me in school although we're the same age. Even if i wanted to comment on him or his family i wouldnt have that much to tell really, had run ins with his parents when we were young because of our behaviour etc. I do feel for his family tho, they never asked for their son to be involved in this type of thing. I understand the press have to get their story but i totally disagree with loitering outside his family home even when they are in London. The street is only a small one and they are certainly making a nuisance of themselves with neighbours!
In answer to some of ur questions...no i'm not pulling your leg bout knowing Neil, my parents still live on the same street as his parents, no i'm not a relative and nope...not Neil (yep that would certainly be strange if i was..wrong sex to start with).
I don't really want to believe much of what the press are reporting at the moment, although my husband and most people i know are siding with your thoughts. Who knows in the end Neil may admit to everything, but at the moment i am keeping everything crossed that he's not evil enough to commit such a crime. I know that you are going to come back with thats proving my sanilty and not his but i can hope!

On the Boston Herald website one can view 20 pages of a police document requesting a search warrant. One item in the documents states that Neil's father-in-law used the murder weapon in target practice the day after the murders. So there probably wasn't much visible on the muzzle such as blood or brain tissue or surely the father-in-law would have noticed. Thank goodness he didn't clean the gun after target practice. There is also documented the conversations that the father-in-law and the police had with Neil after he was back in England. I know that you Brits are not use to such documents made public before trial so you might want to take advantage of their availability. Another interesting comment credited to Rachel's mother is that one reason they came to the U.S. is that Rachel felt he would have a better chance career wise because of his accent. Uzzie, would you care to comment on that?
