By resisting an evil person we are interfering with Gods work and more serious injury is the result.
And so writes a serial child rapist, torturer and murderer from prison, one Joseph Edward Duncan. Duncan is most remembered for the crimes of kidnapping and murder associated with the Dylan and Shasta Groene case.
On Tuesday, Duncan was charged with two counts of first-degree kidnapping in connection with the abduction of Shasta Groene, 8, and her brother Dylan, 9, of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Duncan’s records reveal a history of inflicting violence and sexual torture upon others, particularly young boys, with his crimes escalating in their seriousness.
Apparently the first announcement that someone on the outside was assisting Duncan in maintaining his blog came from here. I learned of it from Steve Huff, who offers an extended defense of the action here.
Blogging the Fifth Nail: Revelations is, allegedly, for all intents and purposes, Joseph Edward Duncan's new blog. While I understand the rationale put forth by some involved with this undertaking, I can't say I am completely comfortable with it. If the idea is to probe the mind of this sick bastard, or even illicit some form of information or confession which might eventually help to keep him behind bars, given the fact that he has no Internet access himself to check it, the information and musings of this disturbed individual might just as well be viewed and evaluated by experts without ever being published.
Now, perhaps that would damage the potential to use any information gleaned, as it could be viewed more as an ploy by law enforcement, than a fulfilling of Duncan's wish for his voice to be heard. I'm really not sure. But I do find myself imagining the horror Shasta and Dylan's Father might feel at finding this out. Perhaps he is already aware of it, again, I don't know.
I had included a direct link to the blog in the initial draft of this post. But have decided to remove it. For those who wish to seek it out, it can be accessed through either of the two latter links above.
