Jimmy Carter: Gone With The Wind

Jimmy_n_helen Could someone please shut this crazy SOB up? God this man just ticks me off. Is there anyway to strip a past President of the title? And isn't it at least conceiveable that Helen Thomas was his Monica Lewinski? What the hell, let's impeach him, NOW!

"The Palestinian Government is destitute, and in desperate financial straits. I hope that support for the new government will be forthcoming," Carter said at a Jerusalem press conference.

He added that if international law barred donor countries from directly funding a Hamas-led government than the US and the EU should bypass the Palestinian Authority and provide the "much-needed" money to the Palestinians via non-governmental channels such as UN agencies.

Carter is jus a liberal fool. I try to avoid anything a liberal is saying because I feel they are the enemy within. I just read where Bush avoided taking a question from Helen Thomas today. She said he was supposed to be macho but he was afraid to call on her. Someone needs to tell her, President Bush doesnt have time or the energy to answer stupid questions like what spews from her mouth or any other anti american democrat.

I wonder if Jimmy Carter now suffers from dementia, among other things. Just a thought. Now, on to Helen Thomas. She shows no respect for the office of the president. Just because she's on the front row, it does not mean she'll be called on for questions - ever. I wouldn't call on her either. She basically asks the same questions over and over. She doesn't like the answer, so she just keeps asking it. Does she think she's going to get a different answer the 100th time she asks it?

Dan, you really should post a medical warning before you show that picture!

I am not at all happy with the election of this new government for the Palestinian people either.

However, I experienced a few surprises when I looked up the history (go back to 1918) of the Palestian/Israeli conflicts.

Both sides do have very, very dirty hands. The conflict over there will probably NEVER end unless the Palestinians have their own state. The land/country given to the Israeli people came from the Palestinians.

Land was divided amongst the two groups of people by the BRITISH government. I am not quite sure how this went down - but it looks like the British government took it upon themselves to take land away from others, and give it to the Israeli people. Now, we all know (and recognize) that the Israeli people desperately needed someplace to go where they would not be exterminated by people (such as the Germans). However, there does exist ways of doing things that will infuriate others.

The Israeli's had about 1/2 the territory in question, with the Palestinians having the other 1/2.

The Israeli's did immediately go on a "land grab" by using force, and has been trying to remove the Palestinian people from land that actually belonged to them in the first place ever since.

As much as I despise the terrorist type government they elected, if I had been raised over there (as a Palestinian) I may feel the same way they do.

1918 isn't that long ago - we are talking about people who fought in ww1....most are dead - but NOT ALL.

Had this happened about 500 years ago - I would have zero mercy on the people, and attitudes, of the Palestinian people. At this point in time - I do not know what to think. I will have to do some more research, and more thinking about the situation first.

Does anyone out there have a very clear understanding of the entire situation?????
