Yes, hard to ignore, the MO is the same...someone knocking at the door and being given entrance to use the phone, or get directions. The gunshot to the head doesn't ring true to the other crimes we know about, but perhaps the perps secured a gun at one of the previous crime scenes. Again, the basement was used, again a fire was used. So very sad these people have lost their lives by trying to be helpful to another human.

Thanks to bloggers like you, and Steve Huff, people had pointed murder this out right after the Harvey Murders, and wondered if there was a connection. It's interesting to see it now, 10 days later, making the mainstream news. That's why I read blogs. :-)

I agree with both of you. I told my family last night that we will never open our door to a stranger again.

I think a gun may have been used in Sherri Warner's murder and not the others because the risk of neighbors hearing it is/was less in Culpepper than in the city of Richmond. Could very well be the same killers...

Simple solution: When someone knocks at your door, offer to make the call FOR them (ask for the phone number to use). You can still help them out while at the same time NOT putting yourself or your family in (possible) danger by allowing them to come inside.

texan-I would rather them just move on. We have guns in my house and I really don't want to be in a situation where I ever have to use them. I do know this, my family will never be a victim in our own home.

The two previous posts about guns and calling for the people needing help are excellent, but in the case where the white people were just robbed in Chesterfield, Ashley went to the door, and they opened it because Ashley was a casual friend of their dead daughters, who were killed by a drunk driver. Everyone needs to be very careful who they allow in their home. I keep my gun in my back pocket, or nearby on a table always!

The cops knew nothing until Ashley's female partner {in crime} called the cops when Ashley did not return home to her apartment she shared with Dandridge and Gray. The friend was worried that Dandridge and Gray had killed Ashley, and that she was next. The friend told the cops everything they needed to know to find they asses in Philly.

The Casper adult male reportedly did time with Dandridge, odd that he and his daughter showed up dead around the same time too, but no connections have been made to Dandridge and Gray in that case.

Black- I really hope that woman gets the reward money.

Was it this past Sunday night or last she was murdered? Dandrige and Gray were arrested this past Saturday I thought? Maybe this was ONE crime they did not commit.

abigail: The article about the woman who was shot was dated December 24, so this probably happened on the 18th. I wonder what they got out of murdering her.

I read in the link above that she was a receptionist for a law firm. Maybe a revenge killing??
And about the Harvey family. That seems more than random robbery. Either the LE aren't talking or haven't made the connection yet.

mmy,

The gag order is probably why they are not talking, so we probably won't hear much until later.

All I can say is Sherri was a kind, outgoing person...she'll be missed. I am still reeling...
