Eerily reminiscent of events in Virginia, a fire in Grove City, PA recently resulted in the discovery of a young woman's body, Brandi Dunn.
The body of a woman was found in the remains of a house destroyed by fire Saturday morning, and authorities are trying to determine whether the blaze was deliberately set.
Brandi Dunn was pronounced dead after her body was found once the flames had been extinguished at about 10:30 a.m., several hours after the fire was reported. An autopsy was scheduled for today in Erie.
Authorities haven't ruled out arson, but it was the home she was sharing with her husband Scott. Steve Huff did some looking around and found what appears to be the couples presence on Myspace. Apparently, her husband Scott left a comment at her site today:
Hey babe I know your heaven right smiling down on all of us. Man babe I miss you so much. I know with god now. I miss you and love you so much. I keep wating to see you or hear you voice or a phone call this is so hard you meant the world to me and know your gone.
The trail of comments is sad to read, as you can read them in a before and after chronology. From a friend:
Baby I'm so very sorry for what happened. I wish there was something I coulda done to change this. I know ur reading this from up above. I will do anything it takes to figure out what exactly happened and u know I will. I love you, you are truely one of the greatest people I have ever known and I will never forget you. I will be with you're family throughout this all and will help them in any way I can. My heart is toar in half. I knoiw now that u can help the steelers win today u will. goodbye for now until we meet again another day, I love you
And another friend the day before:
hellloooo my luv!!! how are ya? can not wait til SUNDAY!!! GOOOOO STEELERS!!!!! PITTSBURGH'S GOIN TO THE SUPERBOWL!!!!!!
See Steve Huff's entry for links and more.

From the comments on the Myspace site it appears that Brandi was a bartender and that she had been attending several keggers recently with her friends, among whom was a special friend, "Go Steelers" possibly also named Keck, whom she invited over to her parents home for a keg on Thursday or Friday. Her parents are visiting in California. It is not known if her husband, Scott, was present at the keg party. Traces of accelerants were found at the death scene.

Hi Dan,
Is there a reason this post about Mrs. Dunn is on your site? Is she someone most of your readers shoud have known about or is it just another person dying under suspicion?

Steve Huff has linked the myspace account for Brandi. I just visited it and it said 'online now.' I found that interesting. Who would be logged in as her right now? Poor girl. Another tragic death.

I often post on such stories as news, and sometimes pick up on stories from Steve. But there's no specific "other" reason, no.

I see that Scott Dunn has changed the picture of two barely clad women kissing on him to one where it is just Brandi hugging him. In a message to "Go Steelers", Scott asked him to be one of the "paul bear" (pall bearers?).

I have known Brandi and Scott for a number of years, it is so hard for me to believe that he did this but his story does NOT add up. And the name Keck... yeah they were good friends, we all were, I don't see Keck having anything to do with her murder, and we all hung out with B, even when Scott was not there. I miss Brandi more than anyone will ever know. She was a wonderful thoughtful and fun friend. She will always have a chunk of my heart!! Love and miss you and Pepper both B. We will see eachother again, until then my friend, I love you.

After first reading this story in the Sharon herald the next morning, I have come to these questions:
How does a newlywed husband happen to "come home" at 7 in the morning, discover his in-laws house on fire, and manage to see an unknown assailant in the burning house beating his newylwed wife and then explain that said assailant simply "ran away"?
The couple was supposedly house-sitting, and her parents were apparently wealthy....a professional criminal team could have targeted the house for robbery and found Brandi home when they thought she was not.
Anyone remember the Steven Masters' trial in Youngstown back in 1979? Eerily similar. Young newlywed couple. Firefighters respond to raging house fire at 3 am, find young wife dead in the rubble. Husband claims to have come home from Laundromat to find house in flames. Dead wife found to have been shot and house set afire to cover the crime. The husband, Steven Masters, charged and convicted of murder. Served 25 years and just recently released from prison just a few months ago.
Just a few thoughts to ponder other than the most obvious.

WITH THE HUSBAND SCOTTS PRIOR CRIMINAL HISTORY, HIS BOGUS STORY OF WHAT HAPPEND THE MORNING OF HER DEATH, AND HIS NO REMORSE COMMENTS ON THE LOCAL NEW. IT IS CLEAR HE IS LYING, AND YET THE COPS HAVE NO SUSPECTS?? HELLO?? IF SCOTT DIDN'T KILL HIS WIFE EITHER BY ACCEDENT OR ON PURPOSE, I'M SURE HE KNOWS WHO DID.
