From Jim Nolan at the Times Dispatch today - he rounds out some information on where the investigation stands today.
Sources close to the investigation said Behl task force members gathering evidence on the Vienna teen's death in September -- allegedly during a sexual encounter in Mathews with suspect Benjamin Fawley -- have no direct evidence suggesting that the pond is linked to Behl's death.
Still, the sources said investigators want to know where the pond is because it is one of the few places photographed by Fawley that they have not been able to identify and search in the three months since Behl was last seen alive.
"They're just trying to be as thorough as possible," one source said. "We had some success with a picture before, and there are some personal items that we'd like to account for."
Sources said the items being sought include some of Behl's clothing and a student-identification card she is believed to have taken with her the night she disappeared from VCU. The sources said Behl's cell phone has been recovered.

At least they will have him in custody when the collect all the pieces

First I have heard it also. Could be one of the phones found in BF's trash........maybe. Does anyone still have a copy of the search warrant inventory from his apartment?
Posted by: cindi in pa | Sunday, December 04, 2005 at 08:40 PM

It'll be linked in the Taylor Behl archives.

I'm going to google it, a cell phone may have been found, but I don't know if it said who's it was.
Posted by: abigail | Sunday, December 04, 2005 at 10:18 PM
Looks like they found 3 cell phones in bf's apartment, of course they did not say who they belonged to.

Who knows if one of the 3 was hers though. Her phone could have been found after the gag--maybe that's why we did not know....
Vedder,
I don't recognize the "blog name", are you a "newbie"?. If so then welcome to the "crazy, trying to figure out bf and why?" blog!

I'm sorry if I aggrivate anyone with this, but where in fact did they find this picture that they are so interested in? Do they think that Taylor Behl will have belongings there? It also made me think, he took pictures of the area where he killed Taylor, so maybe he commited crimes in this area at one point or time? I've been away from the computer and haven't been updated on everything, sorry if I am bringing up old news. Can someone please clue me in?

Hey Abby---
Long time no hear. So I am like 50 post behind. So get me caught up.
Posted by: justathought | Sunday, December 04, 2005 at 10:50 PM
Katie,
No aggrivation from me!:) We all need catching up from time to time, and geez, I can hardly remember what was posted yesterday! ') I think they found the pictures on one of bfs computers and I believe the pictures were dated around the time or after Taylor disappeared. I guess he's not talking, so they need our help to locate. Not sure if this is the location in which he killed her, but LE is just trying to get any evidence to build the case against him, such as clothes and an ID card... I think we are all questioning what is going on. Since the gag, there have not been many explanations.
You guys call me on it if I'm off.....
Posted by: abigail | Sunday, December 04, 2005 at 10:51 PM
JAT! I had to catch up the old fashioned way, now read on! Hahahha! Ask me questions and I shall try to answer, but I don't know where you left off! Where you been stranger?

Vedder,
Curious to what brought you here and how you know about the case...just wondering as we have some catching up to do! ;0 You certainly don't have to explain, it's just that we all like to "connect" in that sort of way. Perhaps you already have and I forgot! uuhhhggg. Between the damn Christmas lists and planning, I cannot keep up. Well, I usually have a bad memory anyway, but I have an excuse for it in December! :)

Kudos to you JAT! You are a good woman! I will try, and then I need to go to bed! :)

This is all I have found so far about the cell phone. It says that LE said her phone was not among items recovered. - Still looking.
http://taylorbehl.notagz.com/20051001.html
Following publishing copies of the search warrant and the list of items seized by the investigators from Fawley's home, the police now say that Taylor's cell phone, keys, student ID were not among the items recovered in the search. The police continue to withhold further comment about the significance, if any, in the rest of the items they collected. All they will say is the further analyis is ongoing, and that it would be premature and likely detrimental to the investigation to go into any detail.

Good work amiqueue, I think I recall that article now, but I'll be damned if I'm going back to look. Too tired right now!
Good night all! Wish Richmond luck on some snow in the morning! I want to go sledding with my girl! :)

TAYLOR BEHL
Ben Fawley relationship brief, intense
By Steve Huff
The following quote is from an article written by reporter Jim Nolan for the Richmond Times-Dispatch on October 5, 2005, titled, Behl task force investigates body in Mathews County:
An ex-girlfriend of a man interviewed in connection with the disappearance of Taylor Marie Behl yesterday led investigators to a Mathews County farm where police discovered the severely decomposed remains of an unidentified person, law-enforcement sources told The Times-Dispatch...
Erin Crabill
The ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) student and freelance model Erin Crabill, later wrote this to me in an e-mail:
If they found Taylor's phone on her...It makes me cry every time thinking that she was out back of my parent's house (not a league from the property line) with her phone ringing for days. She's so lonely out there(...)She was so close [to the house], but not close enough. She's abandoned and maybe no one will find her but her phone is ringing...

Sorry........just read again Erins statement to Steve Huff. Realized the BIG IF on the phone being found.

"Sources said the items being sought include some of Behl's clothing and a student-identification card she is believed to have taken with her the night she disappeared from VCU. The sources said Behl's cell phone has been recovered.'
Its at the top of THIS page...am I seeing something no one else does???
Posted by: vedder | Monday, December 05, 2005 at 12:47 AM
Vedder, I think we see it, if you are talking about the cell. The question seems to be, when did they find it.
