According to authorities, they've identified the location of the pond in the circulated images as somewhere adjacent to Mathews County.

I have been espousing this notion all along! Actually it started with Natalee Holloway’s case where everyone from the LE in Aruba to Nat’s family just have not been as loyal to their supporters and if you really want help, ask.

I have delved deeper into the Taylor Behl case. At first I was extremely disappointed with the lack of information flow; however, there have been times when the LE in and around Virginia have appealed for help, it has indeed come relentlessly.

I read somewhere they are just identifying/going to all the locations they have found in photos on Bens computer.

Well at least they have found it. And there really may something there. I still think bf "placed" pics in the pic as a reminder to him. He was always adding things and taking things out of pics. And that way he would be able to see the images while thinking that no one else would.

Totally off this subject in a way, don't know if you guys know Dan had to send his doggie to heaven. He wrote about it. It can be located under, "So, What Was I Thinking?" I know it's not to be compared to having to bury a child, but this is his "thing" right now and he is sad. I can relate to it though as IMO I think Heaven is a "state of mind" rather then a place. I think Taylor is up there hanging with my mom, the people and pets of everyones past and having a grand old time. That's how I deal with it anyway, sorry, did not want this to be about me! Thoughts to Dan and to all those animal parents who have been loved more than we deserved by those furry friends, as I stuff trash back into the can by the puppy my 5 1/2 year old just had to have for her birthday! :) Well, I just had to get it for her! She is a great addition to the family and we love her tons, it's just the letting go I know we will have to do eventually that tugs at my heart. Belsie will probably be in high school when we have to let go of this one. We've got a fairly old cat, so that may be the ice breaker for the animal death thing, as she's dealt with the passing of gg (great grandma) and my mom, but I don't think she realizes that pets go too..Uhhggg. Blessings to all those animal lovers who have lost and they all do go to Heaven--how can they not? :) Treat them well enough and they are the most forgiving of Gods creatures! They don't care if you're mad or complain.....just a good belly rub or ear scratch will do them fine!

justathought, there is nothing in these pictures.
For what reason would he do that? why hide a picture of a face (taylors or not) while leaving many pictures of taylor on his computer and the internet, not to mention the child porn he had.
He wasn't hiding anything.
If you knew anything about photography or digital imaging its fairly obvious this is just a simple snapshot of a pond, with no hidden pictures.
The areas where people claim to see things are either to do with JPG compression which creates artifacts or scratches/smudges on the lense and nothing more.
You can claim to see a face (which i cant see at all) but you can guarantee its just a coincidence and not put there by ben.
People are using their wild imaginations to make up whatever they want to see.

JAT was not the only one to see the "image". I don't think it was a JPG thing as I've got about 5 years worth of photos of my kid and have never run into that kind of thing. Even my skeptic husband saw "it". How can so many people be "seeing things"? It's there, whether it was "placed" by computer or whatever. How can one or two people tell about 20 that they are "seeing" things? Just does not pan out to me. Hell, I'll take the image to a professional if it makes everyone feel better! :)

Well yes, you may have 5 years of photos of your kid, but those would be high quality original images from your camera. Not highly compressed images used to display on the web.
Thats what the difference is.
All the images i have seen posted have been small and low quality, full of artifacts, resized and compressed to be suitable for internet viewing.

Think for a moment about this: The LE have the original full sized, full resolution images, they have experts in digital imaging, they have the tools and software to analyse this image properly.
Why the hell would they release an image like this with hidden images and just ask people to identify the location knowing theres some spooky hidden ghost in it.
No way, whatsoever would they release an image like that.

Please, take this image to an expert, as long as you mean an expert in photography and digital imaging, and not the local 'expert' with a crystal ball and a pack of tarot cards.
The real expert will tell you how there is nothing there.
The crazy old woman with the crystal ball will tell you what you want to hear.

Just saw that Cino posted in the thread with his IM discussions with Taylor. Nothing important said, but thought I would share. Cino: if you don't want something copied from your live journal, don't post it for all to see. I don't think Dan was required to ask your permission, nor do I think ill of him for not asking. You are the one that made the post public in the first place. And you are not a journalist in any form or fashion, why should he have asked you?

I was looking for a post from yesterday about the Taylor Pond... maybe that was a good guess as to location of pond in photos?

I hope LE finds what they're looking for.

Abigail: Darlin' are you still discussing the anomalies in the pond pictures? I thought I splained that to you. Of course I was much nicer about than x, but then it bothers me to treat people like they're stupid. While there are two faces in the image, they are simply artifacts just like seeing things in the clouds. They are there without REALLY being there.

Yeah, for the most part. I don't know much about the program so there was no "fancy" work involved. I just normally use it to scan and clean up old pictures or to make pictures black and white.

Geeze Abby, I think you've got something there. I think it's a reflected image of Fawley's face (from the car window) as he looks at the monitor on the camera as he takes the picture. Email it to Les Lauziere (my distant cousin) who is in the task force and to the newspapers. Email it to Dan, too, wouldn't want to scoop him.

But the eyes seem almost closed to me, not what you do when you are trying to take a picture. The image had to be flipped too. I'm not emailing it to Lauziere! Besides I'm sure they already have people (professionals) looking at the image in the picture. Oh, but wait it's not there! ;) I think I did email it to Dan a few days ago (I sent him some picture). If not, he will see it here.

Well I think you got something there. The eyes appear closed because he is looking DOWN to the monitor of his camera. I sent it on to Jim Nolan of the Times Dispatch attributing you as the one who found it. He says it is cool and check the Times Dispatch tomorrow because they found something in the images, too.

Honestly, don't give me credit as I just messed around with an image. I was just trying to make it more clear and that's what I ended up with. I obviously was not sure what I was seeing either, and I'm still not convinced as to "what" it is. Someone emailed me about a skull image in the picture above the left "eye". Have not had a chance to look yet and I think it was in the "untouched" one.

I must say that My hair on my body completely stood up,I am a big skeptic I saw the picture and so did my boyfriend. It looks like Taylor with sunken eyes and her mouth is slightly open. All I have to say, Eerie very Eerie. That is all.

Yes, once I flipped the image I cropped the area of interest, I think that's how it happened! I was not doing a science project so I cannot tell you what I did first. I was playing! Can't even tell you if I colored it first and then did the contrast/sharpness thing or vice versa.

First, can we use murdered rather than killed? Or have you never had a friend who'd been to war? Some of you need to re-read NOVA's post of Cino's latest journal entry. In discussing losing a friend he is speaking of months ago when fawley moved out in a huff. Not about his more recent arrest. I dunno, maybe most of you would be perfectly fine having a friend suddenly hate you over 40 bucks. I wish I had that many friends, that losing one would leave me not noticing, unhurt, intact. I'm not fortunate enough to know ONLY pure people, though I know a few... a very few. I suggest that some of you here would be absolutely floored by the secrets your friends keep.

No, I would not withhold a friendship if someone stole a car almost 35 years ago, but my "friends", my "sisters" as I call them, I've known them for close to 20 years. Those are my life long friends. Those are the people I talk to often and we can call each other for anything or on anything. We know each other that well. Thier parents hug me when they see me, even though we got into trouble when we were younger, and I'm sure they thought it was all my fault! :0 We travel through life together. Through first kisses, first heartbreaks, going off to school, divorce, deaths of grandparents and they were my rock when my mom got sick. They were there for me when she died. Those are my friends. Sure I've met people since and I talk to them and they are friends, but not what I call my "family". And I take back the statement that I have never been friends with a felon, as I'm sure some people I "knew" way back when I was involved in the "not so great" crowd could have possibly committed a felony if they stuck with what we were up to then. The only "pure" person I know is the newborn next door! I do know some great people though! Sure, now that most of us are married we don't share as much about our "personal" lives, but believe me we are still are fairly open with each other!
Also, is Ben almost 17 years older then Cino?

Just looked at some photos of bf. yish...anyway, it seems that his nose is wider then the one on the image, his eyes are "squinty" and his brows seem to be much more low set. Just what I noticed..no one get thier panties in a bunch over it!

I am not the only one that saw the images in the pics and just for the record I DO know about photography and embedding images! Since you don't know me you have no way of saying that. But I will have you know that I have a very long list of web pages that I made as well as having taken many photography courses. I also have won awards for my photography while being the lead photographer for a news paper. I can ad images to any thing I want to. And in fact I have! You gotta love Photo Shop :-)

I would like to thank those of you who continue to support Janet and try and understand the loss of her only child. Many positive things have been said about her and about Taylor. The negative comments, I can only imagine come from someone that has never lost a loved one. Revenge is tacky? No, I believe it is sweet in this instance. Forgiving BF will be my burden. BF will receive his day in court and it will be fair and just. The grieving process is long and hard and includes so many different emotions that you never are sure what exactly you are feeling. Yes, I did say I wanted the death penalty for BF but after thinking about how he treated my daughter - he brutally murdered her then left her to rot, to be eaten by animals out in the woods - what does that say about him? That imagine is what I have to live with - it makes me think how was Taylor reacting when he was doing this to her - was she screaming, was she fighting back, was she in pain - only God and BF really know what happened to my baby. Now, that I have changed my mind about how I think and hope he dies, it just seems more appropriate - let him experience a bit of what he did to my daughter.

Taylor called her mom Dorkette with an E...
I'm not sure but this is probably not her.
I was doing a web search last night on "Taylor Pond"...someone mentioned it days ago... and I came across another board where I found mention of dorkette being Janet. I followed the links til I found she is posting on another blog fairly regularly. There she comments on how maybe they will find Taylor's phone. But I think I read in the Richmond Times Dispatch (RTD) that they had recovered the phone. That was on Dec 5th however as I check RTD there is a Dec 6th article now with no mention of the phone having been recovered. Maybe I read it on NBC 12 report. It will be interesting to see if it was recovered at the pond...whatever that pond is called. Apparently this Taylor Pond is quite near the areas in question...AS far as I know, it is not known here if the pond had a sign. If so one poster, on another thread, suggested "it would be just like Ben to" say he could get the sign for Taylor.

More on the images in the pictures... in Microsoft Picture It, one can stack photos, taking each one down to even a pixel size and preserve pictures in pictures. I don't think once the picture is downloaded or sent that someone else can pull out he individual pics but it can be done from the original photo file. It is really quite easy and simple as I am merely a novice but had no trouble figuring out some of the process in less than 1/2 an hour.
I'm sure BF did this in other pictures too, even in the quaint flower pics, I'll bet. Way back, I saw a pic on Taylor's friend's site of just the inside of the water pumping area at Belle ISle...when a family member & I took it up (Zoomed)and changed it to b&w we could see at least three images "buried" in that pic. I'm not sure where her friend got that pic but I'd guess Taylor sent it to him. If there is stacking in that picture than BF might have made a habit of doing it prior to Sept 2005.
