Natalee Holloway: Notes And Observations
Found what I was looking for - whatever it's worth.
I don't know how the story turned into the one about BHT finding out on the road. You can call Tinkerbelle's Bed and Breakfast in Hot Springs, Arkansas and they will confirm this. BHT got the first call (evidently one from a chaperone saying NH was missing) shortly after lunch. My husband works a night shift so we were asleep in the Kipling room when we heard loud screams and prayers. The couple that run this house ran the house in "Groundhog's Day" and are very religious. They were laying hands on her and telling her that G-d would strenghten her and then she left quickly and the lady of the house cancelled her scheduled appointment qat the Arlington Bath House on bathhouse road.We didn't understand that this was going to be significant until we came home about 4 days later. Since we sleep until about 2:00 pm we had only seen her and a group of friends at dinner and another night at Coy's Steakhouse.
I don't like to talk a lot about this because I am not the issue. But I assure you that Tinkerbelle's will probably answer your question for legitimacy reasons. They are wonderful people. He's a postaql employee and she's a designer and wonderful host of this four story mansion that had the first running water within hundreds of miles and the best breakfast, bar none.At most b&b's, there is a lot of privacy as you have your own key and can come and go as you want. So we had a balcony, we smoke (ICKKK!) and we had seen her coming and going but we had not had breakfast with her (main meal) because we slept later than most. She was small and frail looking and we were only told to pray for her daughter (which all of us did) because we thought she had been in an accident. Poor beautiful lady. Inside and out.

Maybe Natalee is there with them?

So why the lie about the phone call and driving 120mpg on Greta's show? Was this just the start of the fabrications of Beth Twitty? What the heck is gong on?
Posted by: gagal_05 | Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 02:32 AM
Bizarre. Why did Beth Twitty start this whole episode with a lie?
Posted by: sensible | Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 02:58 AM
Why do people immediately believe things that are written on the internet? And better yet, what reason would anyone have to lie about this sort of thing. I don't think there could be any possible reason for such a lie in the first place.

jeez, this is getting wierder and wierder. But dan, why was she there?
Where was her husband and her son? That question has yet to be answered.

Hi Gagal 05....
Haven't spoke to you in ages!
Anyway....as for the Natalee story.....who knows what to believe anymore. I think everyone is lying. So much drama, so much BS. If this story was submitted to "Lifetime" for a movie, it would be rejected for being too unrealistic!

Hey Muirnin..Good to see you post.
As for this, it really gets weird when you go to Tinkerbelle's website. Looks like a b&b for couples to me.

Gagal,

Beth was asked by NG tonight where she was when she received that call.
This time she said she was in her hotel room.

Hmmmm...wonder if she was being frisky with someone???

Posted by: gagal_05 | Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 03:22 AM
this doesn't make a bit of sense. Was she alone? Were the girlfriends covering for her? or Are we getting the biggest clue of this entire mess?
Posted by: fiery | Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 03:23 AM
first the story was she was driving 120 mph. You assumed she was alone.
That part may be true. Then it changed to she was in the back seat and two girlfriends were with her. Why did it change?
Now, if we are finding out she was hysterical, then what did she suspect?
She was just being told the kid missed the flight. Why the hysteria?

At a Bed & Breakfast? Huh?
Maybe I'm strange, but if I wanted to have a few days of fun with my girlfriends...we wouldn't be going to a Bed & Breakfast! Unless, of course, we were in the mood to sit by the fireplace quietly and read together!
Who knows though....maybe this Tinkerbelle's place is a little wild!

The thing that has bothered me from the very beginning is Natalee's friends, if you could call them that. Their reaction to Natalee being missing was so....abnormal. They immediately jumped at the chance to give interviews, and then sat there sharing a brain and saying the equivalent of "duh".
Maybe I'm a weird friend, but if any of my friends went missing, I think I'd be too distraught to be interviewed on TV, or anywhere! Honestly, Natalee's friends seemed a little giddy and happy for some of these interviews. Smiling away, not a tear was shed, no emotional breakdowns. What's with that?

I admit I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree but I don't get the significance of this lie. What are the implications? Or is it just that Beth was not telling the truth?
And I agree about the student interviews. I always thought that no one was concerned she was missing because they just figured she shacked up with Joran.

Okay.....I'm beginning to think this is a tall tale. Beth, small & frail looking? Huh? Yes, she may be petite, but from her looks from the earliest interviews, I wouldn't say "frail". She looked rather healthy and robust to me early on.
Another strange thing....the writer mentions being asleep because her husband is on "night shift".......during a Bed & Breakfast visit? I used to work night shift, and normally, one tries to revert to normal on days off, especially if you are going away to a Bed & Breakfast!!!
The writer also mentions at a Bed & Breakfast, you have alot of privacy. Hah! I'd like to stay at one of the B & B's she visits, considering all the ones I've been to have NO privacy! Everyone knows when you come or go, everyone eats meals together, sits around together...what is her definition of "private"???
I guess what I'm trying to say is the Beth B & B story sounds bogus to me.

You know, initially I felt really bad for Beth. Sometimes I still do; it can't be easy what she is going through. But, recently, she seems to annoy me, taken on some shrew personality that is quite unattractive. She is quickly turning into a big turn-off. Jug has always been a bit annoying, but his true colors recently have made him even more unsavory. I think he has some anger management issues..

After much thought, I feel that Beth, whether she does everything 100% right or wrong at any given time, is a woman with too much of a burden to bear. I would never want to even TRY to walk a mile in her shoes. None of us can say how we would react if we were in her place, so I try to be patient and remember "There but for the grace of God go the rest of us". Things like this don't just happen to other people in far off places, it could happen to any one of us, at any given time, it could have happened at the local Wal-Mart. I try to remember that, God forbid, it could be me in her shoes, so I won't judge Beth, no way.
Posted by: alleycat | Sunday, December 11, 2005 at 05:28 AM
First of all, the terms "bed & breakfast" and "hotel" can be used interchangeably. When I make reservations for vacations, I look into both types of resorts. Second, even if she WAS there with a secret lover as so many of you are implying, who cares? It does not change anything. Do you think she would have admitted that from the beginning? The fact remains, that Beth got the phonecall that her daughter was missing while she was away for a few days. You guys are so judgemental and will go to any length to brand her a liar, just to demean her. Bottom line: she is a desperate mother looking for her missing daughter. I certainly wouldn't judge her either. Give the woman a break!

The Twit BT lied from day one and still is. I never saw her as the grieving mother, she doesn't care about anyone but herself, not her son and obviously not her daughter. All she cares about is her disgusting self-centered self!
