Several good posts here today - from the NYT's poorly sourced story on the US planting news in the in Iraqi press - to the memorial for Flight 93, which still looks like an Islamo-fascist shrine, according to Fausta.

I wonder how many can read between the lines about corporate control over governments? Chavez needs Citgo to be able to sell to Americans. Bush's connections are profitable to the mega-corps as well.
Meanwhile, it gives and example of the poor living conditions for the average Venezualan, but doesn't go far enough to state that this is the projected future of Americans as well, because of "trade" agreements that will keep the Venezualans poor, and add many, many, many Americans to the proverty list as well. "Free trade" is only "free" when anybody can participate---not just the huge corps.
As for news being planted by the US government...hell what is new about that? Check out the corporate ownership of ALL the major media and you will see why you get the same story from ALL of them. And who controls the US government? The same corporate interests. Pretty simple, really.
Little of what is seen on the news is truth, especially when it comes to governments of the world.
