hmm ...
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 9 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, author of the book, "SCAM: How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America," which was just released in paperback, is trying to educate Americans that Kwanzaa (celebrated Dec. 26- Jan. 1) is not a legitimate holiday; it is a platform for racial hatred which was started in America by a Marxist ex-con who served four years in prison for torturing two women.
"Kwanzaa is not a legitimate holiday; it is a subversive black nationalist movement designed to create racial separatism and hatred. It is one of the biggest scams being perpetrated on black Americans," says Rev. Peterson.
In 1966, Ron Karenga, the leader of United Slaves Organization, a Marxist "black power" group, created Kwanzaa to help blacks get in touch with their African roots.
Rev. Peterson says, "Marxist Karenga's Kwanzaa celebration is really a banquet of socialism, worship of false gods and Afrocentrism. The Kwanzaa pledge of allegiance is a perfect example of racial hatred and black separatism: "We pledge allegiance to the red, black and green, our flag, the symbol of our eternal struggle, and to the land we must obtain; one nation of black people, with one God of us all, totally united in the struggle, for black love, black freedom and black self- determination."

I love listening to Mr. Peterson. I wish young blacks would look up to him as well people like Colin Powell and Judge Thomas instead of rappers and racial dividers like Jesse Jackson.

So, by his explanation, it's separatist in the same way Christmas separates Christians and non-Christians. It's exclusionary in the way Chanukah excludes non-jews. The list goes on.
Big, fat, Whatever!
Taken individually or together the principles of Kwanzaa are nothing to be ashamed of. They don't harm or disparage anyone, at worst they uplift those who ascribe to them. Yeah, I can celebrate that.

exactly-and a jewish friend ,syrian/israel, told me chanukah is not a big hoiliday. Christmas is for celebrating the birth of christ. It's retailers and marketing that's bluring the line. Good old usa capitalism.

Kawanza is a fraud that was developed by a racists with the assistance of Hallmark Cards! This is another way further fragment the poor and disenfranchised from being part of society.
Lets compare - A white ex-fellon starts a non-religous holiday to celebrate the strength of the white race - lol ha ha! It could never happen without the the Jesse "Jerksons" and the Al "Sharpie" Sharpton calling it a racist plot by the "white man".
Think about it - let me start the clock and see how many seconds it takes for some "whiter than white" liberal to go on the attack!

Either way, it is "groupthink." How much do you hear from ANYWHERE about "being the best that you can be..." and leaving off the white, black, yellow, brown, label?
Too bad people cannot hold themselves in enough high esteem to forego a bunch of this groupee bullsh_t.
The difference between Jesse Jackson and Peterson is obvious to anyone with a brain. One thrives on group followers and steals them blind while at it. The other exposes it and hopes individuals break free from the lies and the hype.

It could be accepted to have such a mentality in the 60's-70's, to get away with it today...its absurd and many of these idiots should be shamed and see a good shrink.
