Beth Twitty To Join Search For Tara Grinstead

via Crime Library - I found it somewhat strange that last night with Greta Van Sustern, Ms. Twitty mentioned information as regards blood being found inside of one of Joran Van der Sloot's sneakers. However, when questioned by Greta as to her claim as to never having heard the result of any possible testing, Ms. Twitty stated that she may have heard some results a couple of months later, but couldn't recall.

One would think that something so significant as to warrant bringing up after all this time might have led to her also remembering if she did or didn't hear of any possible testing results. DNA testing can take time, depending on the circumstances, and one is left to wonder if this wasn't a very simple and efficiently handled incident being turned into an unfounded allegation of potential evidence tossed out for viewers. In any event, the disconnect was very strange.

OCILLA, GA (Crime Library) — Beth Twitty, the grieving mother of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, will join the search this weekend for Tara Grinstead, the 30-year-old school teacher and former beauty queen who vanished more than a month and a half ago after a local pageant.

Tim Miller, founder and executive director of Equuasearch, the Texas based search and rescue operation said Twitty approached him and asked if she could participate in the massive search which is expected to draw some 500 volunteers to comb the brush and backwoods in a fifteen mile radius around Ocilla beginning Saturday. Miller's operation spent several weeks in Aruba earlier this year in what has so far been a futile search for Holloway, who vanished while on a cruise in May.

In all likelihood, Twitty will help man the command center while the volunteers — 300 have signed up so far and another 200 are expected to join the search — fan out to scour a series of targeted locations arrayed in concentric rings beginning about two miles from Tara's home and extending out about 15 miles.

Here's a fact. The three boys admitted to being with Natalee before she "dispppeared" ,to use a word by some bloggers. And then LIED and tried to hang is on two BLACK SECURITY guards. They even gave a time as to when they dropped her off. Lots of details in the big LIE. Time, name of Hotel and TWO, count'em two BLACK SECURITY guards. NOt one, not just security guards, but TWO BLACK security guards.

However, when these boys are asked over and over about the truth, they can't get one detail to match and they can't recall diddly. Start with the LIE and search there for the TRUTH.

1)The fact that Michael Posner, casino manager that gaver JVS line of credit to gamble and Natalee went missing during the same week is too much of a coincidence to overlook. Posner would have had all the connections at his disposal to scoop Natalee out of Aruba unnoticed.

"The Diario has been reporting on this document for some time but have been accused by competing local media for making it up. The item was published verbatim today. I think being a spokesperson for the missing may be Beth's mission in life. I believe she has learned so much these past months.

Her son is old enough to drive a car, and I think he may welcome the opportunity to be a little more independent. He still has many other family members to support him.

Aruban officials did ask the FBI, however, to analyze a DNA sample from the backseat of one of the suspect's cars to see if it was Holloway's blood. The blood was flown to the FBI crime lab in Quantico, Va., but tests came back negative for blood.

Well maybe she got some good pr advice finally ...so far she has never shown a whit of compassion to any other missing person, she has hogged all the attention.

I find it sickning that so many missing people have these little "reward" funds and I hope that Beth can contribute some money , she has raised enough

I used to get on here all the time. Back when people supported Natalee's family. Back when it was about finding Natalee. Back when people were praying for her and her family.

Maybe Beth hasn't handled herself very well at times. But, who would?! She lost her daughter! She has no idea where she is or what happend to her. Joran, the K brothers and Joran's dad know what happened. They may not have murdered her or sold her off like some speculate but they know something. If they had nothing to do with her missing, they wouldn't have told all the lies. It would have been one story and one story only. They know something.

I don't think for even a second Beth is just trying to get the camera on her because she likes the camera. I think she wants to remain in the spot light to keep everyone remembering and pushing for what happened to her daughter. Face it, if she didn't keep in touch with the media, everyone would forget.

Also, I think the fact that she is helping look for another missing woman is wonderful. Maybe since she can't find her own daughter, it will give her some peace knowing she helped another family find out what happened to their loved one.

It doesnt' always have to be negative. Try being positive just once.

For those of you who haven't read the post about Adreanna Jackson, she's a 10-year old girl who never returned home from school on Friday. The search for her has now gone national:

TILLICUM, Pierce County — Lakewood police and the family of a missing 10-year-old girl are now turning to a national audience for help after a sonar search of American Lake yielded few new leads.

Lakewood Police Lt. Bret Farrar said police searching for Adre-Anna Jackson have enlisted the help of The National Center of Missing and Exploited Children and television's "America's Most Wanted." Information on the girl, who has been missing since Friday, is available on the Web sites for the center (www.missingkids.com)and the show (www.amw.com).

Yvette Gervais, the girl's mother, said she was relieved. "I wanted them involved days ago," she said Wednesday.

An FBI team that used a special sonar to search American Lake on Tuesday for any sign of the girl hit on an underwater object. But divers who searched the lake discovered it was a shopping cart. Scent dogs are also being used to search a lakeside park that Adre-Anna frequently visited.

Beth always comes on TV decently dressed, never glamorous, no one ever sees her "well manicured" hands, and like she said, they never traveled for free or on a broomstick. Would these creeps that critize Beth in the most rude manner go dig in a landfill? No, I don't think so. None of the mother's of missing women have done so. Did Lacy Peterson's mother did? No, did Lori Hacking's mother did? No. That was the Aruban officials and police job to do so. But it took Equ Search, volunteers and Dave to do so.

Beth's son is already old enough to be independant to a certain extent and I am sure he does not want mommie hugging and kissing him as when he was three years old. He is probably happy his mother is doing what she is doing to find the whereabouts of his sister. Its a great close knit family, they take turns and everyone cooperates, they also have to make a living and pay their bills, and Beth is the MOTHER!
And I do not think that Beth would allow her son, as soon as next year, go gambling and drinking and rape girls at the local bars, HEAR, ANITA?

Well, if you are going to accuse someone of lying, at least get your facts straight.
They never said TWO black security guards.
They said a black man in black shirt and pants with walky talky went to HELP her as she stumbled walking back to the hotel.
They did not mention the guard to IMPLICATE him, they mentioned the guard to show that she was being helped by someone, that they did not just leave a drunk girl to make her way into the hotel on her own, as what they were lying for at that point was not to look like total inconsiderate assholes. They had NO idea that Natalee would never show up.
While in jail Deepak apologized to Mickey Johns that what he said got Johns arrested, that was never their intention.
And that is on Video, stated by Mickey Johns himself.
So if you are going to convict them on BS, at least get the BS right.

While her son is "her business", as you state, she has kept in the public eye by posing as a caring, loving mother.
