Beth Twitty To Join Search For Tara Grinstead

via Crime Library - I found it somewhat strange that last night with Greta Van Sustern, Ms. Twitty mentioned information as regards blood being found inside of one of Joran Van der Sloot's sneakers. However, when questioned by Greta as to her claim as to never having heard the result of any possible testing, Ms. Twitty stated that she may have heard some results a couple of months later, but couldn't recall.

One would think that something so significant as to warrant bringing up after all this time might have led to her also remembering if she did or didn't hear of any possible testing results. DNA testing can take time, depending on the circumstances, and one is left to wonder if this wasn't a very simple and efficiently handled incident being turned into an unfounded allegation of potential evidence tossed out for viewers. In any event, the disconnect was very strange.

OCILLA, GA (Crime Library) — Beth Twitty, the grieving mother of missing Alabama teen Natalee Holloway, will join the search this weekend for Tara Grinstead, the 30-year-old school teacher and former beauty queen who vanished more than a month and a half ago after a local pageant.

Tim Miller, founder and executive director of Equuasearch, the Texas based search and rescue operation said Twitty approached him and asked if she could participate in the massive search which is expected to draw some 500 volunteers to comb the brush and backwoods in a fifteen mile radius around Ocilla beginning Saturday. Miller's operation spent several weeks in Aruba earlier this year in what has so far been a futile search for Holloway, who vanished while on a cruise in May.

In all likelihood, Twitty will help man the command center while the volunteers — 300 have signed up so far and another 200 are expected to join the search — fan out to scour a series of targeted locations arrayed in concentric rings beginning about two miles from Tara's home and extending out about 15 miles.

Beth's pain is the pain of guilt. Guilt of not knowing her daughter, guilt of pushing her to be who Beth wanted to be(forgetting Natalee was her own person),guilt of neglect of NAtalee during her fling time with Jug-those years prior to marriage,im MS..(and she now is neglecting Matt..of course, he is used to it). So yes, Beth is in pain, though it has nothing to do with the Natalee she never knew.

A couple of observations - one, trust me ole Beth will not put any miles on her fancy slippers actually going out looking for this young teacher! She was not like Dave actually going through the trash in the landfill that would beneath little miss perfect. And I am wondering why in the world no one has found Tara yet and why there is no outrage - what if several months go by and she is not found - what will we think what will Beth think wil this area be boycotted?

The only link I could find by doing a google search was to an article by the national enquirer. Other than that, it is all from blogs such as this one, scared monkeys, and crime sleuths. Most of those refer back to the national enquirer as the source. Here is the national enquirer link.

si, kerem cu nan a rondia.
i searched with them for 2 weeks and they slaved their butts off trying to find that girl. they were out of the hotel as early as 6 a.m.
i had a hard time getting so little sleep and beating my body at the same time. every possible well in every possible nook and neighbourhood in aruba they came upon they searched and if needed they would go down on a rope. every dam, woods, dump.
they are too the victims of twitty here.

i understand the case remains open for 2 years and if at that time no one has been arrested or prosecuted all information may be publicized according to Dutch/Aruban Law...

any info, evidence, etc. released prior to this 2 year period, without approval by prosecutor's office is subject to being inadmissable to the court at the time of trial.

Natalee's family is enduring a living hell...whether you like them or not...

Danie you are correct. All these people do is pass judgment. They only want to here what they think is correct or true and when someone else gives there opinion and it's not the same as theirs it's war. I think there has been wrong doings from both sides, but I am also compassionate towards Natalee's families because they have suffered a great deal and I know there are people who believes other wise but this is my opinion. Opinion is the key word that needs to be stressed here some think that only their opinion is correct and no one else has one. I read these blogs and on some I see good points but some are just off the wall, but again I have to remember it is someone else's opinion. I also understand that this case is all some people have to keep them busy though the day reading and typing so what are you going to do when they actually solve this case. jody...apologies for singling you out; just as an example...how many victims mothers dig in landfill to find the remains of their daughter? i don't believe Lori Hackings mother was digging at the landfill? God bless Dave's strength....but this is where i will wrongly perhaps pass judgment...isn't this up to law enforcement to dig? not the victims families?!

as i also said previously, your point that Beth will do anything to keep Natalee's disappearance in spotlight is very valid....and God forbid i was ever in that situation, i think i would do that and more...she'd look like sweet Saint Beth!
So we are all guilty of passing judgment, again i don't mean to single you out....but geez...family members often help in the search of missing people...but i can't imagine anyone finding their loved one in that condition! JMHO...and no maliciousness intended....

FYI for Paulus, the Kennedy clan wrote out a very, very large check to the Kppechne in Pennsylvania. Might I suggest you get your checkbook out and begin adding zero's. Beth will set up the Natalaee Foundation for lost girls, and will become the John Walsh of missing teens.

When it comes to the truth however, they can't agree or recall any detail. Start with the LIE, and focus their. That's when we will find the TRUTH.
