According to ... sources, Iraqi and US military forces in Mosul think that Zarqawi, al-Qaeda leader in Iraq was possibly killed in a raid on a house where members of al-Qaeda were holding a meeting. Al-Mada paper said that terrorists hiding in a house fired back at American and Iraqi troops that were surrounding the house in a battle that lasted from dawn to noon on Saturday (Jerusalem Post said it was Sunday)`after receiving intelligence about a meeting for senior al-Qaeda members.

On Saturday, police Brig. Gen. Said Ahmed al-Jubouri said the raid was launched after a tip that top al-Qaida operatives, possibly including al-Zarqawi, were in the house in the northeastern part of the city.
During the intense gunbattle that followed, three insurgents detonated explosives and killed themselves to avoid capture, Iraqi officials said. Eleven Americans were wounded, the U.S. military said. Such intense resistance often suggests an attempt to defend a high-value target.

Just being realistic....wish we didn't have to though!
Hopefully, they will run out of idiots that think blowing themselves up is honorable (as they kill women and children), but I think it would take a massive re-education system....of which, hopefully the new government can install...without religion.
(guess I do tend to be cynical on occaision :)

If it was not him which they are saying now, thats too bag. He is too mcuh of a coward to be oen of the 3 that blew themselves up. It would be nice if he were captured by his own kind and they would put him in a Guillotine and just cut off his damn head and then one could feed it to a pig.

Problem is that Al Zarqawi does not belong to the group that will blow up themselves. He is more the Bush type who sends others to be killed.
