Pondering this post, I couldn't help but wonder ... just what was CBS's John Roberts thinking when he made this comment today. And in all fairness, I'll also link his bio with his apology above... even if the bio does call attention to what looks like some serious, albeit not too sloppy, plastic surgery. That, or they haven't changed the image in a decade.
"The early morning White House gaggle is an informal, free-wheeling and often irreverent forum, which is not broadcast and generally not publicly available. "Obviously, my tone this morning was a little too casual.
But is being too casual really much of an explanation? Makes you wonder what's usually on this guy's mind during the morning gaggle. Now, let's see, sex, politics, White House, just what could it be?

Can he POSSIBLY be that clueless?
Eh, nevermind. I think we know the answer.

It may have been casual but I assume it was also coed. I could never speak that way in front of women, and I'm sure it would have been in high school or college that I outgrew speaking that way among other men.
I'm appalled. When a public figure sdoes something like this, I worry that it threatens the image of men that exists among women. Ladies, we men do not speak that way in locker rooms.

I think after that comment John Roberts deserves Helen Thomas.
