Paging Mr. Huff To OSM Please

Okay, color me cornfused. A day or two ago I read a long post by Steve at The Darkside Blog on why he isn't a part of OSM.

So, because I want to remain my own man where this blog is concerned, and I want to keep it relatively free of ads, I will not be a part of OSM. Because, too, I am unsettled by the nature of the project, as I perceive it at the moment. Everyone I've ever communicated with from OSM has been nice, I've never been offended or insulted -- but I am missing the sense of egalitarianism I initially saw in the idea of Pajama Media. I am, like Moxie, seeing other things I am less comfortable with. A quote from her:

Yeah, that's a product of my being wishy-washy until I saw a number of my impressions validated so recently. I'm asking them to remove it... btw, haven't caught a single referral from them -- I may have missed them,though.

They've got others on their blogroll that aren't OSM; I'm pretty sure it's a regular blogroll that includes non-OSM blogs, so they must have meant for you to be there, Steve.

Curiously, Ann Althouse and Powerline aren't on it...

No they have two - one for OSM blogs one for non OSM blogs and OSM blogs - Steve was on the OSM Blogs only blog roll.

Not only do they have him on the blogroll, but on the pain page is a minisized Darkside banner, just to the left of a Lane Bryant Ad.

ZachtEi.nl is another Blogger on their OSM blogs list - not blogroll - who admits [http://www.zachtei.nl/2005/11/19/001064.html#reacties] he hasn't signed up to their deals.

These guys are counterfeit, dissemblers, posers.
