Jeff has an add on here to the Commissar's heavily illustrated post here:
The USPS will not be issuing a Madonna and Child Christmas stamp this year. The Politburo’s agents have heard unconfirmed reports that the Post Office will not be issuing any more in the future, although as of October, this site showed the USPS plans for 2006 to include a Madonna stamp.
Having already won first place in one stamp design contest, I went back into my archives for an image in a story on Iran punishing a woman for possession for Cannabis - yes, that's right, it's a hanging offense there.
I think I'll label my stamp design The Irana-Madonna, what the hell, at least it isn't Christian-based.
However there are conflicting reports on the Madonna and Child stamp issue.
Update: Leave it to Sadie to go Hollywood.

OMG- I am not feeling well now after seeing this pic. I don't think I will be able to sleep now...

Don't let it bother you Arubaanse, the photo is a fake. So is this story about the banning of Madonna stamps.

Heh. Go Hollywood. I'd explain my illy-placed logic, but perhaps leaving it all to mystery will make me appear...smart?

I think everyone should right click on the Madonna and child, save it to a jpg file and then use it for your own picture holiday stamps that you can purchase here:

I don't know, I'm tempted to do something with that Michael Moore stamp. Mule face? Monkey in a tree? Burga on Michael.
