The reality is that this guy has more rumors floating around about potential personal problems than our last Governor - who many believe resigned, not because he was gay, but to avoid potential scandal around issues of corruption. And it looks way beyond the where there's smoke, there's fire stage with Corzine.
Some insiders say some very troubling things about the would be Gov. Just another toast to corrupt NJ politics.
New Jersey Public Radio & Television aired a report Friday night in which New Jersey Democratic Candidate for Governor Jon Corzine was grilled about whether a staffer he allegedly had an affair with -- had an abortion.
NJN News’ Michael Aron reported Friday: “The press is interested right now in personal conduct. Corzine was asked about a persistent rumor that he had an affair with a staffer whom the reporter identified by name.”
NJN’s Michael Aron: “He was asked about a rumor that the same staffer had an abortion in Ohio.
“ Reporter: “Can you respond to those rumors that are circulating?”
Corzine: “Trash.”
Sadly, one is left to wonder if that wasn't a Clinton-esque sort of answer.

Unfortunately, the pre-requisite for holding office in the United States is: corrupt.

I think it is inappropriate for people to be asked who they had sex with. Likewise for abortion. These are personal and private issues and nobody's else's business. Any decent man does not go around telling the press if he had sex with a woman. It is basic ethics. To put someone in this position and be upset because they lie and deny is ridiculous. This is so hurtful to the women that chose to become involved with a man in the public eye. The press destroyed Monica L. - her whole life is ruined. This is what was criminal - not that she gave Clinton a BJ and he denied it. He should have denied it - how crass it would have been for him to go out in the press and tell people about it. I will never agree with the logic of people who somehow think they have a right to know people most intimate personal affairs.
