I caught up with some family members from Princeton during Thanksgiving. It seems would be liberal political powerhouse, Al Franken, may be feeling a little bit like the man who didn't get (no) respect, Rodney Dangerfield after a recent visit to see his son during Princeton University's parent's weekend.
The radio talk show host was spotted with his family at a popular Princeton eatery sometimes known for a bit of a wait for a table. Undaunted by the line, Franken's wife Frannie approached the hostess, a delightful young woman who appeared to be of Latin American extraction. After a brief discussion, in which presumably the hostess didn't recognize the name, Frannie returned to the family, perhaps a bit perturbed by the wait.
The radio host encouragingly prompted his better half to again approach the hostess, this time following and waiting visibly just a couple of feet behind. With broken English and a head shake, the former Not Ready For Prime Time Player and his spouse were once again dispatched to the back of the line.
Franken was then observed cooling his jets outside on a park bench before eventually being allowed in and seated at a table with his back to the room, as per special request. Unfortunately, it appeared the liberal comedian wasn't exactly noticed during the incident as few people even bothered to turn their heads.
Ironically enough, sometime Franken show guest G. Gordon Liddy was already enjoying his dinner while the incident played out. Unfortunately, perhaps because his back was turned, Liddy didn't offer to help out his occasional media mate.

Who cares. Franken is for the Democrat party-hacks what Ann Coulter is for Republican party-hacks. Both both cater to the "tell me what to think" moron crowd.

Poor Al. He is such a nebbish. And such a bore. He should stick to writing and never, ever open his mouth.
