Jossy "discounts" ALE corruption? That's how HyScience reported it (posted at the bottom of this page) but that's not how I took his comments. Who is Harry Tho and why are his nightly recaps always so slanted?

Here is everything (quotes) that directly relates to this "corruption" issue.

Greta asks if the prosecution has investigated or shown any interest in the missing fishing trap and knife.

Jossy: We're in the same position as Jug is. I just heard him say they've tried their best to contact Karen J. from the prosecution department. We've tried to do that too, we've called many times and she just doesn't answer, she just won't return any calls to us.

Greta: Is this out of character or is this sort of the way it's done in Aruba? Is this Karen J? What's the story behind this?

Jossy: I think it's out of character and I don't think it's Karen J per say. I think she must be receiving orders from higher up. I think it's the Attorney General of Aruba that may be clamping down on whatever is allowed to these people to say to the press or to bring out to the public with regards to the case.

Greta: All right Jossy, you're from Aruba so let me ask you a very pointed question. Do you think that your criminal justice system or that there is some corruption going on involving this investigation or is it just that we don't have the information?

Jossy: I think there are many things that happened in this case that are unexplained so far to me. They go against logic and I think that..

Greta: IS THAT CORRUPTION?

Jossy: Ummmm..PERHAPS..I wouldn't use the word CORRUPTION per se but there are strange things, things that can not be rationalized or explained in a rationalized manner so far, not to me.

--------
From HyScience:
Greta then probed Jossy on Janssen and corruption.

Jossy said that Janssen's actions may be being controlled by the Attorney General, attempting to limit information release on the case. On the issue of corruption, Jossy discounts it. He says that there are actions that defy explanation. Why these actions occur, he does not know.

SNIP: Jossy "discounts" ALE corruption? That's how HyScience reported it (posted at the bottom of this page) but that's not how I took his comments. Who is Harry Tho and why are his nightly recaps always so slanted?

He clearly said he would not use the word corruption. Then he talks about strange things that cannot be explained. And I agree. It is very strange to me that almost ALL of the clues/witnesses, pointing towards the guilt of the three suspects, can be traced directly back to Jossy. I find that very strange.
As for Harry's recaps being slanted; I totally disagree.
Harry and Dan's columns are a breath of fresh air.

Geeezzz.
I believe not even half of what I read anymore.

I really don't care about all the put down of Alabama. It has hard times with all the Hurrincanes recently. They are still picking up the pieces there. God bless Alabama and all its residents.
Natalee has nothing to do with the state of Alabama and its other residents.

"believe half of what you see and none of what you hear" and out of that comes..."do not believe anything you see on the cable news programs until you check it out on the blogs"!

Just like yourself, dan, Harry Tho seems to be going through the same emotions that we all are, except he is writing his thought processes down for all to see. This has been a roller coaster ride and there appears to be no resolution in sight. No matter how you slice it, this is frsutrating to everyone, those who want the suspects roasted over an open flame, those who want "innocent to be proven guilty" applied to all, and those who simply want to find the young woman and do not feel that anything is being done whatsoever to find her (this group probably encompasses both groups only they are so busy yelling at oneanother they can't see this). I do, however, think, that all the minutia has clowded the main issue and sort of put the main subject, the young woman, on the back burner. To me, this is the most sad part of this whole scenario.
Please dan, you have done so much good in this case, please keep plugging along and please encourage your friend, Harry Tho to keep plugging along too. With good people like you intersted in this, ultimately, something has to give....

"Greta then probed Jossy on Janssen and corruption." = dan, the image when you read this sentence is well......

we have to come up with a synonym for Harry Tho....

that word conjures up too many unpleasant pictures.....

Here's you another post of mine to delete, Dan. Too bad people will see it and read it before you can take it down.

Wrong, wrong, wrong. Look at all the U.S. corporations that he claims might lose business due to an aggressive Aruban boycott. Ask yourself how many are linked to Aruban tourism. Of those, ask yourself which ones will not be able to conduct business elsewhere. Remember, if tourists abandon Aruba and flock to the Bahamas (for example), so will the companies that support the tourism industry. Harry talks as if these companies will go bankrupt if they lose Aruban contracts or at least fail to negotiate new contracts. The truth is, long before they start to lose significant profits through lost contracts in Aruba, they'll have other contracts lined up elsewhere if they're smart. Offshore businesses that profit from Aruban tourism will follow the tourists. To say that the death of Aruban tourism will be anything more than a blip in the U.S. or even state of Alabama economy is utterly ridiculous.

Dan: 105 million dollars of trade with the U.S. isn't squat. Get a clue- the U.S has a total trade deficit of 400 BILLION dollars. If you think that 105 million dollars worth of trade with the Netherland Antilles is even a drop in the bucket, then you need to take ECON 101 again.
You DO have a college degree, don't you?

bizarre, Dan hasn't done squat for Natalee's family except post a few things ever since the blowup with SM and his 15 seconds of fame on Fox.

IMO: They say tourism is busting at the seams in
Aruba, But I know if I had bought a trip there
I would still go there I am not gonna cancel my trip..It is the furture vacation bookings that will be felt down the road..

IMO: this is going to get real heated

The family just wants a honest answer
